Education is the foundation of a country and one of the ways for the country to cultivate innovative talents.The new curriculum reform of art has clearly defined the content of learning in the field of “design and application”,including modern design and traditional crafts.It can be seen that design education has important educational and practical significance in the field of art education and the development of today's society.Today's quality education puts forward new requirements for students.The cultivation of aesthetic value and innovative ability has become more and more important in the education cause.Junior high school is a golden period for the students to carry out innovative design awareness training in the basic education stage.Through the teaching of different grades and content,the students' imagination,the innovation and the ability to develop hands are fully mobilized.The design consciousness in this study is different from the design consciousness in the professional education of colleges and universities.It actively absorbs the design consciousness,design concept and thinking mode in the design profession,and closely follows the basic education of our country,combining the physiology of students in the junior high school stage.The psychological characteristics are the design consciousness of the students in the 7th to 9th grades.Through summarizing the practical experience of art teaching in junior middle schools,the main findings are: the teaching concept is relatively traditional,the teaching mode is simplistic,the teaching content design is unreasonable,and students' innovative design awareness is weak.The main reasons for these shortcomings are the lack of attention in the art discipline,the lack of development and utilization of art resources,the lack of funds for art courses,and the lack of comprehensive skills of teachers.Starting from the junior high school art teachingmode,in order to solve the deficiencies in the teaching process,the author gives some reference ways and methods: to create a "student-centered" classroom,emphasizing the "self-construction" of the student learning process;the cultivation of design consciousness is In a phased process,the classroom should pay attention to the layering of student growth.The curriculum should be set according to the teaching objectives and teaching priorities of different grades.The teaching process should be from shallow to deep,from simple to complex,from single to comprehensive.Through different design modes such as design situation,problem-oriented,group cooperation project,experimental art,etc.,students are good at observing and discovering problems,applying what they have learned,and seeking ways to solve design problems;teachers should follow the teaching of students according to their aptitude and teaching.Comprehensive teaching principles,improve their teaching ability,realize the common development of individuality and commonality;establish a diversified evaluation system and realize the interaction of education.
