In the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation,gratitude plays an important role in it.Under the background of the new era,China vigorously promotes the building of socialist cultural and ethical progress and practices the core values of socialism.Gratitude quality is also an important part of it.The lack of gratitude quality in the social and cultural system is not conducive to the establishment of a comprehensive and healthy moral system for primary school students,and is also not conducive to the healthy development of society.Therefore,gratitude education should be integrated into the mental health education of primary school students in the new era to highlight the importance of gratitude education and to further improve the moral education system,which will produce good educational results.In the research process,380 students from the sixth grade students of Shenyang Experimental Primary School were selected as the research objects,and the status of overall gratitude quality of the sixth grade students in primary school was analyzed.In this study,the Multidimensional Gratitude Scale GRAT was used in the actual measurement process,and the gratitude quality status was studied from the three dimensions of gratitude to others,simple gratitude and sense of abundance.According to the problems found,it puts forward the gratitude quality counseling program,and selects 62 people as samples,sets up the control group and experimental group,and measures the gratitude quality score again after the group counseling intervention,so as to verify the effectiveness of the group counseling program.In this study,different activity contents were given to the experimental group and the control group.In the weekly experimental group activities,the content of the gratitude quality group counseling was added.And the group counseling activities of non-gratitude contents were performed on the control group every week to eliminate the influence of irrelevant variables.After eight weeks of experimentation,the gratitude levels of the two different groups were measured again.By comparison,it was verified whether the gratitude quality group counseling had practical effects on the cultivation of students' gratitude quality.And it finally came to the following conclusion:(1)Overall,students in the sixth grade of primary school have higher levels of gratitude and are more prominent in ordinary gratitude.(2)There is no significant difference in gratitude dimensions and total scores in terms of parental education,gender,age,and only child.(3)there are significant differences in the total score of gratitude,ordinary gratitude and gratitude for others between class cadres and non-class cadres of primary school students in the sixth grade,while there are no significant differences in the dimension of sense of abundance among class cadres.(4)The overall level of gratitude quality of the experimental group members was greatly improved after receiving the gratitude quality group counseling.The experiment finally concluded that the gratitude quality group counseling designed for primary school students in this study is conducive to the improvement of students' gratitude quality.
