Schools are an important part of training talents for the country and the cradle of discovering and training talents for the country and society.They have four functions: training talents,scientific research,serving the society,and cultural inheritance.Teachers,as the primary element of training talents,should have both moral and intellectual abilities.They must also improve students' knowledge connotation and learning quality,and enhance and strengthen the learning and application of teaching ability.Teaching ability refers to the main psychological characteristics of teachers in order to achieve the predetermined teaching objectives,aiming at different types of students,achieving teaching objectives,and carrying out teaching activities extensively.It is based on general abilities and supplemented by special abilities.The so-called table tennis traditional sports school(hereinafter referred to as "table tennis school")teaching ability of table tennis teachers refers to the spirit of dedication,dedication,innovation and professional ethics of education and teaching,but also have the basic teaching ability or professional ability required for general teaching,more in accordance with the development requirements of "table tennis school" and the characteristics of table tennis training.To develop some special comprehensive teaching abilities,such as training high-level athletes,organizing and managing sports competitions and academic exchanges with foreign countries.This paper aims to explore the teaching ability of table tennis teachers in nine traditional table tennis sports schools in different regions,levels and characteristics in Wuhan.In order to obtain more accurate and effective raw data,the paper adopts the methods of literature analysis,questionnaire survey,interview,mathematical statistics and logical analysis to analyze 22 table tennis teachers in nine traditional table tennis sports schools in Wuhan.Teachers conduct in-depth investigation and research.This paper makes a deep analysis of the basic situation of the composition of the teaching staff and the teaching level of the teachers themselves.Questionnaire survey shows that the proportion of male and female teachers in the teachers' team is quite different,and the number of male teachers is more;among the agedistribution of teachers,the proportion of teachers aged 24-35 years is the most;the number of teachers over 35 years old is less,and the age structure is not reasonable;the teaching experience and professional Title level need to be improved.At the same time,combined with the research purpose,on the basis of consulting relevant literature,actively consulting experts' opinions,completed the questionnaire design for teachers' teaching ability.The survey results show that the teaching design,preparation and communication of table tennis teachers in Wuhan "Ping Chuan School" are in good condition,and the design considerations are more comprehensive;the frequency of after-school training is reasonable,but the number of matches is too small;The ability of scientific research is not good enough and lack of attention;the innovative application of teaching means needs to be improved and strengthened;the ability of teaching management and organizational ability needs to be further improved;the moral and professional ethics of teachers as a whole is high,but they need to make improvements in their own emotional regulation and ability enhancement.Generally speaking,the results of the survey mainly show the following problems:uneven distribution of gender and age among table tennis teachers in Wuhan "Ping Chuan School",unreasonable allocation of teaching resources;old and single textbook content,lack of diversification or interesting,single teaching and training competition system,less external communication;lack of scientific research ability of teachers,and less participation in high-level learning or lectures;Lack of awareness of lifelong learning;at present,table tennis teachers in Wuhan "Ping Chuan School" generally have higher educational background and lower level of professional skills,and the number of full-time teachers is far from meeting the needs of normal table tennis lessons.Based on this,this paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions.Firstly,education departments and schools should pay more attention to "Ping Chuan School",correctly understand the development law of "Ping Chuan School" project,increase investment proportion,optimize resource allocation mode,attract more table tennis talents to join the construction of "Ping Chuan School" in Wuhan City;secondly,they should open the conditions for holding competitions and participating in competitions,and compare the original ones.The registration system should be adjusted,more large-scale competitions should be held,so that more students can participate in thecompetitions and the competitions can become an evaluation index for "Ping Chuan School".The construction of sports research team in "Ping Chuan School" should be strengthened to form "pass-help-belt".Schools and educational departments should provide more learning and training opportunities for table tennis teachers and strengthen each "Ping Chuan School".”Finally,in view of the phenomenon of insufficient number of teachers,each "Ping Chuan School" can cooperate with social professional clubs to run schools,make up for the shortcomings of professional skills and promote the growth of teachers' professional literacy.
