As an emerging research topic,"body discipline" has received extensive attention in various academic fields, but has not yet been involved in the particular area of the addiction treatment. In this paper, because of a long professional practice in one voluntary addiction treatment centers in Guangdong Province, the author has an opportunity to focus on the "body discipline" in abstinence field. By the field work research, The Paper Pays attention on the topic of "body discipline" in the abstinence field, and tries to explain the discipline technologies in the abstinence field, and how the addicts manage to resist the discipline from the voluntary abstinence field and doctors. The paper is to explore the discipline technology and resistance behavior in the voluntary abstinence field everyday life and to analyze the power relationship between disciplines and anti-disciplinary, thinking of social work intervention strategies in the drug field.This dissertation mainly consists of6parts as follows:The introduction Part illustrates the research background, research topic and research methodology; the second part is theoretical framework, literature review; the main body is divided into three parts. First of all, the paper discussion on the space, time, knowledge, discourse and other aspects of bodily discipline mechanism, and to show the using of hierarchical observation, normalizing judgment, examination and punishment; Then describes the drug addicts’ strategies and actions in the everyday life; At last, proposed three intervention strategies in social work. The final part, the author puts forward some views and ideas in the study. This paper attempts to study body discipline on the field of voluntary drug, showing a life of drug addiction treatment under a different perspective, to reflect the current abstinence work, and explore a new way of social work.
