With the rapid development of Internet communication technology,as well as the popularity of electronic reading equipment,network reading has become a new reading mode,triggering another revolution in the history of human reading.Internet reading has brought unprecedented reading experience to people with its advantages,and has been loved and admired by people.Under the impact of the wave of network reading,the reading of rural primary and middle school students in the vast rural areas of our country is also deeply affected.Based on an overview of network reading and an analysis of its origin,definition,characteristics and future development trend,this paper aims to make people fully understand network reading and advocate that people should break the inherent way of thinking and subjective prejudice and treat network reading correctly and rationally.Through a questionnaire survey,the author comprehensively understands the current situation of rural primary and middle school students' reading and their attitudes towards and use of online reading,and summarizes the factors that restrict the development of rural primary and middle school students' reading comprehensively from the four angles of region,subjectivity,school education and family environment.For rural primary and secondary school students,network reading is a double-edged sword internet reading provides an important opportunity for rural primary and secondary school students to read,but also for rural primary and secondary school students to read a serious challenge.Opportunities and challenges coexist,making rural primary and secondary school students face the predicament of rich resources and information overload,guidance and control,learning and entertainment,online reading and offline reading.At present,the role of network reading in rural primary and middle school students' reading is far from being fully recognized and highly valued by people.The concept and methods of network reading have not been well used and popularized in rural primary and middle school students' teachers and parents.According to these realities,this paper puts forward the countermeasures to promote and improve the reading of rural primary and secondary school students by using network reading from the four levels of society,school,family and individual.
