The characteristics of STEM education have been taken seriously by the society.The essence of the China-US trade war launched in 2018 is the high-technology war.Under the background that the whole country attaches great importance to craftsman training and innovation and creation,the direction of STEM education to train students has been raised to a certain strategic level by the society and the country.The advantages of STEM education have been recognized by China's education.Primary schools are the basis and starting point of education.As a region receiving new education ideas rapidly,a certain number of primary schools have opened various STEM courses with the help of the implementation space of various courses,and have achieved many results and experiences.However,STEM education in Shanghai is still in the initial stage of introduction and exploration,and occasionally the situation of "soil and water not acclimatized".In this study,STEM education in G Primary School,a large public school in Shanghai,which enjoys a certain reputation and social influence,was taken as an observation point.By observing the classroom and curriculum organization of STEM education in primary schools,interviewing students,teachers,school leaders and curriculum design institutions outside the school,we can understand the implementation of STEM education in primary schools,and find out the answers to the following questions by observing and studying the schools that have implemented STEM education.1.What are the existing implementation methods of STEM curriculum in Shanghai primary schools?2.How effective is the implementation of STEM in primary schools?3.What are the problems encountered in the implementation of STEM in the existing primary school stage?4.What strategies can STEM implement in primary schools?This study combs the STEM curriculum system of G Primary School,summarizes the implementation methods of the overall promotion of G Primary School in STEM curriculum,and summarizes the curriculum management methods that can be used for reference by Shanghai Public Primary School represented by G Primary School from the perspective of curriculum management concept.At the same time,through the research on the implementation of STEM curriculum in G Primary School,the common problems in the implementation of STEM curriculum in primary schools at this stage are found,and the countermeasures and suggestions to facilitate the implementation of STEM curriculum in similar schools are obtained.It also foresees the development direction of STEM curriculum in elementary school.
