Time flies,human society ushered in the 21 st century,this is based on the innovation of knowledge and the creativity of knowledge.Successful STEM education enlightenment is the foundation of improving the scientific literacy of national citizens.STEM education in primary school directly affects the future development of every student,and affects the scientific literacy of all citizens in the future of our country.Improving STEM education in basic education stage is also a strategy to carry out the national strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education.Now,what is the present situation of STEM education in Changchun,and what factors affect the STEM education in Changchun are all to be understood to improve the quality of STEM education.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to investigate the present situation of STEM education in four schools in Changchun.During the course of investigation and research,the main methods used in this paper are questionnaire survey,interview,field investigation and so on.The main objects of investigation are school administrators and teachers,students and parents,and the present situation of STEM teaching in Changchun primary school is investigated.Through the analysis of survey data,we can know that the existing problems of STEM teaching in Changchun primary school are as follows: neglecting STEM teaching construction;STEM teachers' professionalism is not strong;STEM teaching methods are closed;STEM teaching resources development is insufficient;STEM teaching evaluation method is unreasonable;STEM teaching cooperation mechanism is not perfect.To this end,the countermeasures to further improve the STEM education in primary schools are as follows: changing the STEM teaching concept;improving the professional level of STEM teachers;implementing open STEM teaching;enriching the teaching resources;optimizing the evaluation methods;and improving STEM teaching cooperation mechanism.
