Peer communication refers to the process of exchanging information and communicating emotions between children's peers using language or non-verbal symbol systems,which is helpful for children to get rid of egocentric,get emotional support from peers and the development of pro-social behavior.It lays a foundation for the social development of young children.Empathy,as the main motivation to develop individual social relations,is an important link and indispensable factor to improve interpersonal communication.The purpose of this study is to design an empathy training program to explore the impact of middle-class children on peer communication.Two middle-class children from a kindergarten in Chang an District of Shijiazhuang City were selected as the research object,and the cognitive and cognitive-experiential activities of empathy training were carried out for six weeks.Peer nominating method and Children Social Strategy observation Table were used as measurement tools totest children before and after.The effect of empathy training on peer communication in middle-class children was verified by the comparison of pre-and post-test.The resultsof this study are as follows:1.Empathy training could improve children's peer relationship to a certain extent:the type of peer relationship has a positive change,and the value of affinity index has a significant change.2.Empathy training can effectively improve the use of peer strategies of young children,and positive strategies have a significant increase,among which,active invitation,cooperation and verbal negotiation are the second,and there is no significant change in neutral strategies.Negative strategies have been significantly reduced,responding to more attacks than attacks.3.Empathy training had no significant difference in peer interaction between boys and girls of different genders,and there were no significant differences in the types of peer relationships,affinity index and peer communication strategies.
