The introduction of geographic core literacy is an important aspect of the revision of the2017 edition of General Senior High School Geography Curriculum Standard.Its determination makes the goals and requirements for future talent development more clear.As one of the important components of geographical core literacy,geographical practice highlights its important role in cultivating students’ necessary character and key ability to adapt to social needs and lifelong development.Due to the influence of current evaluation methods,the cultivation of students’ geography practice has been neglected,and the cultivation of students’ practical ability needs to be strengthened.The teaching of geography activities as an effective way to cultivate students’ practical ability needs further improvement and promotion.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the teaching strategies of high school geography activities,promote the implementation of geography activity teaching,and improve the teaching effect of geography activities.Based on the theory of constructivism,discovery learning theory and the theory of“learning by doing”,this paper uses the literature method,questionnaire survey method and case analysis method to analyze the current situation of high school geography activity teaching and high school students’ geographical practice literacy.From the five aspects of creating activity conditions,teacher literacy,activity steps,resource development and evaluation,this paper expounds the teaching strategy of geography activity based on practical training,and designs classroom and extracurricular activities teaching cases on this basis.The aim is to provide reference and guidance for optimizing the teaching effect of high school geography activities,and to implement the cultivation of students’ practical literacy in the process of promoting the development of geography activities.Firstly,taking Shijiazhuang 24 as an example,the questionnaire survey method was used to investigate and analyze the current situation of high school geography activity teaching and geography practice training.The results show that there are problems in the process of high school geography activity teaching: the number of geography activities is less.In particular,extracurricular practice activities,such as social surveys,field trips and other practicalactivities are missing;teachers’ activities are different from students’ interests,students’ enthusiasm for participating in activities is not high;The form of activity is relatively simple;the evaluation method is single.In the investigation of the status quo of students’ practical cultivation,it is found that the high school students’ lack of practical literacy training,the students’ practical level is low,and the high school students’ geographical practice literacy needs to be further improved.The causes of these problems are mainly limited by time,limited teachers’ own ability,low student participation and lack of necessary support.Based on the above analysis,the teaching strategy of high school geography activities based on practical training is proposed:(1)Create the conditions of activities,schools,teachers and students should establish the correct concept of activities,provide relevant activities facilities and equipment and ensure sufficient activity time.(2)Improve teachers’ self-cultivation,carry out teacher training through multiple channels,actively carry out teaching and research activities,and at the same time,teachers themselves must strengthen their ability to shape.(3)Optimizing the implementation steps of the activities,from the preparation of the activities to the implementation can be summarized as clear themes,fully prepared-analysis and inquiry-results display exchange and mutual evaluation-teacher summary induction-evaluation reflection five steps.(4)Strengthen the development and integration of curriculum resources.While making full use of the resources already available in schools and networks,we must actively develop and utilize rural land resources and enrich curriculum content.(5)Timely feedback,pay attention to evaluation,and make timely and reasonable.Finally,the teaching case of geography classroom activity with the theme of “exploring the urban heat island effect ” was designed.The extracurricular activities mainly used the social survey as an example to design the“Shijiazhuang City Air Pollution Status Survey”teaching case,which explained the implementation process of the activity.
