Poetry,prose,novel and play are the four genres of literary works.Compared with other literary works,the novel is deeply loved by high school students for its vivid characters,wonderful plots and specific and unique description of the environment.In the Chinese curriculum standards for ordinary senior high schools(2017 edition),"Learning Task Group 5 Literature Reading and Writing" attaches great importance to the reading and appreciation of these four genres of literary works.The current compulsory Chinese textbooks for senior high school students include two concentrated units of novels,and supplement the optional textbooks of "Appreciation of Chinese Novels" and "Appreciation of Foreign Novels".The Chinese exam papers' reading comprehension questions of College Entrance Examination are divided into two parts,The Modern Article Reading and The Ancient Poem Article Reading.The Modern Article Reading has a literature text reading,but the most common is the novel.Thus,it can be seen that the teaching novel reading is of great importance in high school.However,the novel reading teaching class in the actual high school,some teachers regard the novel reading teaching class as "self-reading class",and some teachers use "indoctrination" teaching method to impose their own views and opinions on students,which greatly reduce the students' interest in learning.In such a high school novel reading class for a long time,students will not only lose their thinking ability and awareness of problems,but also will eventually become an accessories of the teachers.Although some teachers boldly implement the teaching of high school novel reading by means of inquiry,the specific implementation effect is not ideal.In view of the above worrying situation of high school novel reading teaching,how to carry out the most effective high school novel reading teaching?In the author's opinion,inquiry-based teaching can change the worrying situation of high school novel reading teaching to some extent.In the process of inquiry,students no longer passively accept the novel knowledge taught by teachers,but actively raise questions,find problems and then solve problems.Through inquiry,the initiative and enthusiasm of students in learning novels will be constantly enhanced,and the knowledge of novels will be enriched.The main part of this thesis is divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction,mainly from the research origin,literature review,research significance,research methods of four aspects.The second part is the introduction to the theory of The Inquisitive Reading Teaching in High School Novels,from the perspective of the theory to demonstrate the related concepts of The Inquisitive Reading Teaching in High School Novels.The third part is a survey of the current situation of reading teaching in high school novels.This part finds out the problems by means of student questionnaires and teacher interviews,and deeply analyzes the causes of the problems,and then demonstrates the feasibility and necessity of The Inquisitive Reading Teaching in High School Novels.The last part is the implementation of The Inquisitive Reading Teaching in High School Novels.This part specifically demonstrates how to implement from three aspects: mode,content,and method.Finally,evaluates the implementation.
