In recent years,the relationship between China and Latin American countries has developed very well.Latin American countries pay close attention to the development of China and actively promote the economical cooperation and cultural communication with China.Against this background,there is an increasing demand of learning Chinese among Latin Americans.Adding Chinese into the syllabus has become a popular trend in far-sighted schools and educational institutions,New Cambridge School is one typical example of this.The school has enthusiastically cooperated with Hanban to introduce Confucius Classrooms.Being one of the first group of Chinese volunteer teachers,I have the honor and chance to work at New Cambridge school,as well as contribute to the Chinese education system there.The study is carried out by the questionnaire toward the students in a Colombian school,concerning the problems in the Chinese courses.Reasons caused these issues are also summarized and analyzed.In addition,the analysis of the specific manifestations about classroom problems are based on interviews of Chinese teachers.In the end,the feasible suggestions for solving the problems in the Chinese courses are put forward to the new teachers by considering the current teaching experiences as well as theoretical studies in domestic and overseas.The study is set out as the following five parts,Part one traces the origins and values,the objects and methodology of the research,as well as an literature review of the topic.Part two briefly introduce the situation of New Cambridge School and its Chinese classrooms.Part three emphasizes the particularities of the Chinese courses by carrying out the questionnaire towards the problems in the Chinese education,followed with a summary of the causes behind the problems is about questionnaire survey and analysis of Chinese classroom problems.Part four provides the effective solutions to the problems in the Chinese courses,which is combined with the practical cases aiming at the analysis of causes in part three.Part five summarizes the problems in Chinese courses and suggestions of improving the Chinese education in Colombian primary and secondary schools.A brief summary of the shortcomings of this study is added in the end.
