The problem,the development of orphaned and disabled children,is becoming increasingly prominent,which is what we need to care about and help.China's orphaned and disabled children are mainly provided with centralized services.Under the mode of centralized services in welfare institutions,children are provided with comprehensive care& basic needs,such as,clothing,food,housing,transportation and other aspects of life.However,children in welfare institutions get poor family education and care,which has a great impact on children's psychological and personality growth.There is no correct methods to guide children to grow up healthily.Under such living environment,children lack the sense and ability of autonomy,which is weaker than that of children from normal families.It is not only related to their physical and mental health and future destiny,but also related to the development of children's welfare and social stability and harmonious development.In this study,the orphaned and disabled children from welfare home in H county Shangrao city were selected as the research objects.Through interviews,literature collection and other methods,the author has deeply analyzed autonomous development status of the solitary and disabled children.It is found that,compared with the normal school-age children,children who live in centralized feed mode has certain particularity in autonomy development.The main causes of low autonomy are weak independent consciousness and lack of independent ability.They are self-abased,sensitive,poor communication,self-centered,relying on others,poor self management ability,weak independent consciousness and so on.In view of their low autonomy,the author analyzes it from the strengths perspective,Maslow's needs-hierarchy theory and adopts the method of case work to intervene in their autonomy development and provides follow-up services.Through the evaluation of the intervention results of case,the author has summarized the role of individual work in the independent development of orphaned and disabled children and analyzed the theory and application in the practical process,then pointed out the importance of significant others for the autonomy development of children in welfare institutions.At the same time,on the basis of summarizing the experience and deficiency of case intervention,the author reflects on the problem of low autonomy of children in welfare institutions.She puts forward suggestions and measures from the aspects of the living environment of orphaned and disabled children,the intervention of cross-professional teams,the optimization of support mode and the improvement of support network.Finally,based on the experience of internship,the author proposes a new model of social work in the autonomy development of orphaned and disabled children from the perspective of case work.
