With the deepening of social governance and the increasing public demand for the quality of public services,the workload and work pressure of community workers are increasing.The theory of public service motivation explains the relationship among the motivation,behavior orientation and individual performance of public sector employees,and has become a widespread concern in the field of public management and managers since the 1980s.The motivation of community public personnel's public service has important reference value for improving grass-roots public leadership and realizing good grass-roots governance,but at present,the pre-existing research at home and abroad mainly focuses on taking civil servants as the research object.There is little literature on the public service motivation of community workers in grass-roots autonomy in China.Most empirical studies do not specifically put forward specific countermeasures for a certain region.This article takes the Panlong district urban community full-time staff as the research object,through the questionnaire survey,the interview method,understands the community worker public service motive situation,analyzes the common characteristic,the influence factor and the function result.The results show that community workers'public service motivation are linked to demographic variables.There is no significant difference in such as age gender and education background of community workers'public service motivation.However there are significant differences with the political landscape.There is a positive correlation between public service motivation and organizational atmosphere and work performance continuity of community workers.The conclusions of this paper are helpful to enrich the applicability of public service incentive theory at the grass-roots level in China,and to provide decision-making reference for the construction of community personnel and grass-roots social governance.
