With the rapid development of economy,the gradual improvement of people's living standard,the rapid rise of the national fitness climax,the sports gradually enter people's vision,more and more people participate in the sports.School physical education has been paid more attention.As the main way for non-physical education major students to study sports knowledge systematically,the system and structure of public physical education curriculum in colleges and universities are scientific and reasonable,which not only play a decisive role in the depth and breadth of students' knowledge of physical education.At the same time,it is also related to whether the college students can adapt to and meet the needs of the students.This paper discusses the elective courses of table tennis in Henan Province's colleges and universities.In order to find out the deficiency in the elective course of public sports table tennis,the author makes investigation and research on six aspects,such as teaching goal,teaching content,main body of course,teaching environment,teaching method,examination and evaluation,and then puts forward the corresponding optimization countermeasure.To provide theoretical basis for the further development of table tennis curriculum and the effective reform of public sports curriculum.On the basis of the collective analysis of various elements in the teaching of public sports table tennis elective course,this paper uses the methods of literature,questionnaire,mathematical statistics,logic analysis,and finds out the places to be improved,and further puts forward the optimization countermeasures.The findings include:(1)the elective course of table tennis consists of six aspects: the objective of the course,the main body of the course,the teaching content,the teaching method,the teaching environment and the assessment and evaluation,which depend on each other and develop harmoniously.Dynamic construction of public sports table tennis elective course system.(2)the expression of curriculum objectives is general and not clear enough,and there is no detailed standard for students to reach the level of table tennis elective study.(3)the technical teaching in the course content is basically the same,but the degree of attention to the theory part is not enough,the opening time and the number of class hours are less,which can not meet the needs of the students.(4)the teachers of table tennis elective courses are mainly young lecturers,most of them are master's degrees.Although they are full of passion,their teaching experience is not enough,and the number of post-service training is limited,so they lack the corresponding learning methods.Students have a high enthusiasm for learning,but the foundation is weak.(5)the lack of hardware conditions,such as facilities,can not meet the teaching needs,class size is large,which brings some difficulties to the teaching,and the competition environment is not ideal.(6)the traditional teaching method which still takes the teacher as the main body causes the student to study the initiative is not high,lacks the innovation,the multimedia teaching method and so on new teaching method application is insufficient.(7)the contents of assessment and evaluation are basically the same,but the assessment method is single,and the whole process of learning table tennis course for students can not be comprehensively evaluated,and the results of assessment are not used enough,which leads to the formalization of the assessment.The recommendations include:(1)in the course goal,we can form the characteristic table tennis course according to our own condition,at the same time,we should take the table tennis course as the starting point to guide the students to form the habit of physical exercise and the consciousness of physical education all their life.(2)setting up table tennis elective course in the second half semester of freshman,the number of people is controlled at about 30 people,the number of class hours and the theory course should be increased appropriately,and the interest of the class should be improved.(3)to ensure the necessary post-service training of teachers,to urge teachers to improve their teaching ability,to change their ideas,to guide students to set up a correct concept of sports learning,and to stimulate students' initiative in learning.(4)standardizing the facilities of school table tennis venues,increasing the development of sports resources,ensuring the classroom teaching sites of table tennis elective courses and sufficient spare time practice sites.(5)according to the situation of students,teaching contents and teaching environment,we should choose the appropriate teaching methods,pay attention to the flexible combination and application of the new teaching methods,respect the students' main position and give full play to the students' learning initiative.(6)reasonable arrangement of assessment contents and methods,diversification of assessment methods,enrichment of assessment contents and methods,and emphasis on the application of evaluation results.(7)to strengthen the coordination and coordination of the six elements of the elective course of table tennis,to establish an effective supervision mechanism,and to ensure the close combination and coordinated operation of each link.
