Research On Situation And Countermeasure Of Teachin Table Tennis Elective Course In P.E. Colleges And Universities In Jilin Province

Table tennis,called "the national sport" in China, has the highest prevalence rate in the domestic sports.With the advantages:small amount of exercise, simple sports equipment required, the small site and strong entertainment, table tennis is particularly suitable for groups of ordinary people and has been able to achieve a broad and profound mass Foundation, and keep a long-term trend of unabated. Moreover, table tennis athletes winning the great honor to their countries, this star effect inspires people’s enthusiasm of learning it all over the country.So a lot of sports talents working with table tennis are needed. In order to meet the needs of table tennis coaches in society and colleges, and also because table tennis on sports also has an important value of exercise, is worth cultivating student life sports, many P.E. colleges set up table tennis elective course.But the current status quo of table tennis elective course teaching in PE institutes in Jilin province was not optimistic and there are a lot of problems.Therefore, this paper applies four research methods to investigate status quo of table tennis elective course teaching in6colleges and universities in Jilin province and analyzes the existing problems, and puts forward the corresponding countermeasures.The study shows there are problems on four aspects.Firstly, without the adequate fund support, the facilities are inadequate and cannot fully meet the needs of the teachers and the students of the colleges.Secondly, with the imbalanced sex ratio, the number of male teachers is far higher than the number of female teachers. And at the same time, the teachers are in the low qualifications and lack of highly educated ones.Thirdly, there are the single teaching form, outdated teaching methods and slightly "sick" teaching content.The teaching center in table tennis elective course tends to be competitive, too little fun, more attention to technology transfer in the process of teaching and learning, and the theoretical knowledge and the inheritance of cultural are ignored.The knowledge to be referees and the ability to teach and organize competitions are also taught less.Fourthly, there are the single assessment content and methods.For the above problem, this article considers it appropriate to adopt the following measures:firstly, in terms of stadium facilities, college leaders should increase capital investment, and arrange the specialized personnel to maintain the site, and meanwhile, take the "Stadiums feeding stadiums"policy, open stadiums every morning, afternoon, evening and on holidays to increase the Museum’s income. Secondly, in terms of teachers, the colleges should balance the proportion of male and female teachers, and make appropriate arrangements for the participation in the course teaching of table tennis female teachers, as well as support teacher training to improve teacher qualifications and teaching skills.Thirdly, the teachers should hold the idea that the students, health are the first in the process of teaching, use the advanced teaching methods and select the content s closer to students’ needs and community needs to teach.Fourthly, the teachers should make reasonable arrangements for the assessment methods and content from vertical and horizontal to form a three-dimensional assessment method, and highlight the evaluation of students’ comprehensive ability to assess students comprehensively.
