| The uniqueness of geography is that it is a very spatial subject. The shaping of geospatial thinking is convenient for middle school students to fully understand and grasp the geographical comprehensiveness and regional outstanding features. It creates spatial representations and concepts in the depths of the heart, stimulates students’ social adaptability, and facilitates the educational goals of students’ geography.Geospatial thinking has become the starting point for middle school students to understand and recognize geographic elements and events,or the main mode of thinking for studying and dealing with geographical issues. It is also the external manifestation of geographical core literacy.Cultivating students’ geospatial thinking facilitates their cognition and understanding of the comprehensiveness of the discipline, and eventually becomes a citizen with geographical qualities. The use of geospatial thinking to deal with the geographical problems in daily life has become the main method of the discipline, and it is a key criterion for assessing whether people have geographic literacy. However, the current analysis of the cultivation of students’ geography integrated spatial thinking is relatively simple, especially the related teaching practice is less explored, and it should be improved in the follow-up exploration. Therefore,it is of practical value to explore the specific situation and methods of the training of junior high school students’ geospatial thinking. In the analysis of the geospatial thinking ability of junior high school students,in order to ensure that the geography teaching activities of the school can effectively cultivate students’ geospatial thinking ability, the theory of cognition, structuralism, recent development zone theory and humanistic learning theory are the research theories.Under the support of the analysis, understanding the concept of geospatial thinking, implementation principles, basic characteristics, etc.,mainly using the literature research method, test paper survey method, interview method, etc.,comprehensively study the status quo and future cultivation of junior high school students’ geospatial thinking ability The problem. The compiled questionnaire was used to evaluate and research the development of geospatial thinking ability of this group. At the same time, the junior high school geography teachers were investigated and interviewed, and the junior high school students’ geospatial thinking ability and training teaching were comprehensivelystudied and discussed. In the end, according to the actual problems appearing in the research period,we should find a reasonable treatment plan, aim to find the teaching methods and development programs to improve the geospatial thinking ability of junior high school students, and prospect the development of students’ geospatial thinking ability. On the basis of theoretical research, the second-year students of Zhengzhou Peking University Peiwen School were selected as survey objects,281 student survey papers were distributed, and 268 valid student survey papers were collected. The effective recovery rate of test papers was 95.4%.In order to collect data comprehensively,a total of 8 junior high school geography teachers conducted face-to-face or telephone interviews, statistical analysis of the questionnaire data, and combined with the information obtained from the interviews, the problems existing in the current situation of geospatial thinking cultivation of junior high school students were obtained. The main problems are as follows:(1)The gender ratio of students is relatively balanced. However, gender factors have a certain influence on geospatial thinking ability.Boys have higher ability in this aspect;2 second-year students have certain geospatial thinking ability. However, the overall level is not high;3 a few teachers have low professional literacy and cannot undertake relevant cultivation and training tasks;4 the level of geospatial imagination of junior high school students is the lowest among the five spatial thinking abilities. The main reasons for the analysis are: 1 students have poor reading ability;2subject knowledge is less mastered;3 lack of multimedia and other educational tools,so the subject practice activities can not be carried out smoothly;4 lack of effective teaching methods and programs.Through survey papers, interviews and reading relevant literature, the strategies proposed for the existing problems are as follows: 1 strengthen the reading training for students;2 strengthen the knowledge combing;3 increase the thinking training;4 focus on the creation of teaching conception;5 use modern Multimedia technology;6 encourage students to participate in social practice. The innovation of this paper: 1 A large part of the research on geospatial thinking is aimed at the study of high school students. This study mainly studies the current situation of geospatial thinking of junior high school students, enriching the research of geospatial thinking of junior high school students; The test paper survey method is applied to analyze the thinking status of junior high school students, because thinking ability is an abstract thinking ability, which is not good to detect. The students’ geography thinking ability is in line with the requirements of the new round of geography curriculum reform for students. It is hoped that this study can provide reference for the teaching of junior high school geography teachers,so that the education department and teachers strengthen the emphasis on geography teaching and promote the innovation of geography teaching method. And development. |
