Since the reform and opening up,China's economy has continued to grow and has achieved some remarkable achievements.However,as the economy continues to expand,some problems are exposed in the process.Among them,one that cannot be ignored is the issue of education and income equity.In recent years,the remarks about "rich second generation","spelling" and "poor second generation" in the society have been continuously fermented,indicating that people pay more and more attention to the issue of intergenerational income inheritance.Under this circumstance,education will be an important tool for the vulnerable groups to jump upwards,which should be valued by poor families.A large number of empirical studies also show that education has a significant impact on intergenerational income flows.However,for poor families in rural areas,the income of poor families is relatively low due to their parents.Most of the fathers' investment in their children's education funds is usually low,resulting in a lack of human capital accumulation in their children,making poverty the offspring continue.In addition,because education investment does not achieve effective output in a short period of time,the fathers of some poor families are old-fashioned,and they think that “reading is useless” and paying insufficient attention to investment in their offspring education,making it impossible for their offspring to achieve education.On the other hand,the view of the uselessness of reading also reflects to a certain extent that China's intergenerational income relationship is solidly solidified,and the upward mobility of the bottom-level masses of the society is still difficult.Poverty is transmitted between the father and the offspring,and intergenerational transmission is obvious.Therefore,this paper studies the current situation and law of intergenerational income flow in rural areas of Henan Province,and discusses the mechanism of the influence of education level on intergenerational income flow,and obtains the specific method to promote intergenerational income flow.This is extremely important for improving the intergenerational income mobility and promoting social equity in China.Firstly,based on the research background and significance of intergenerational income flow,this paper expounds the important role of education in the intergenerational income flow.On this basis,it elaborates the relevant theories about education and intergenerational income flow at home and abroad.Based on the empirical analysis,the author investigates the influencing factors and current situation of the intergenerational income flow of rural households in Henan Province based on the survey data of the survey of households in Qian County,Henan Province in 2018.Then learn from Solon's intergenerational income flow model and education acquisition model,and use the path analysis technology method to use education as a mediator to separate the total impact into the direct impact of the father's income on the offspring's income and the father through the pair of generations.The indirect impact of investment in education on the income of the offspring has obtained the net impact of the education to be studied on the flow of intergenerational income.Finally,based on the above analysis,this paper uses relevant data for empirical research.Considering the existence of endogenous problems,in order to obtain more accurate empirical results,the instrumental variable method is adopted,and after the corresponding instrumental variables are added,the regression results show that education is indeed It can promote the intergenerational income flow of rural families in Henan Province and is an extremely important factor in promoting intergenerational income flow.In order to get rid of the phenomenon of “poor second generation” and “poverty transmission”,rural poor families must ask their fathers to take their long-term perspective and clarify the importance of human capital in the labor market.This requires the father to value the children.The level of education increases the investment in education for children in order to improve the human capital of the offspring.According to the above research,in order to promote the intergenerational income flow of rural families,this paper proposes to continuously deepen the reform of the education system,further increase the public education expenditure,improve the openness and transparency of the labor market,deepen the openness of the labor market,and correct the rural families in the offspring.The old ideas of investment in education and the improvement of the social security system,and the reduction of human capital investment constraints and other policy recommendations.
