The present research investigated the social mentality of haze,the specific environmental event in China.At first,we drew a basic outline of the research,and developed research methods,during which a literature review was included.Then,people's cognition,affection and behavioral intention were explored under network through using data from Microblog and WeChat.Two public discussions about haze,"Under the Dome" and "Haze Jokes",summarized by previous scholars are regarded as cases to analyze and record dynamic social mentality of haze.Specifically,we investigated people's cognition of haze through analyzing haze jokes and haze texts downloaded from WeChat by the methods of semantic network analysis in order to grasp people's cognitive patterns,their concerns and interests.Moreover,we analyzed comments about "Under the Dome" on the Microblog utilizing the methods of semantic analysis to deal with diverse types of sentiments of haze and their changes under the hot event,"Under the Dome".Meanwhile,haze jokes were also examined and analyzed by using the same methods.Besides,people's behavioral intentions to haze were discussed and concluded from two previous analysis,the cognition and affection analysis.Finally,through those above studies,we drew a conclusion about how to improve the social mentality of haze.We achieved those results:In people's cognition about haze,people concern about two key points,poor visibility and poor differentiation.More specific,in haze jokes,people concentrate on sucking haze,driving haze away,tasting haze,escaping from haze.Those are all involved with health,traffic,governance,prevention and air quality and so on;In haze texts,people focus on ingredients,prevention,factors,governance and hazards of haze.In people's affection,haze sentiments included positive and negative emotion,are influenced by air quality and hot events;public opinion reaction on haze jokes are complex and evil is the main second-level sentiment.In people's behavioral intention,escaping from haze,conformable consumption,scarcity of attention,poor pro-environmental behavior are the key features.Finally,risk perception of haze,emotional guidance and management were also discussed.Finally,the main conclusions are as follows:current conditions of social mentality of haze included(1)although people's concerns were rich,they produced less pro-environment behavior.(2)Haze jokes were created and spread at a high rate of haze stage.(3)the air quality and hot events of haze played a significant role in haze emotion.(4)Public opinion reaction to haze jokes was relatively different.Later on,the adjustment methods about social mentality of haze were considered.(5)special and complicated emotions reflect the changes of society.The topic of this research,social mentality of haze and the research methods,semantic network analysis and sentiment analysis used in the study drive innovation and creativity.
