With the rapid development of basic education reform,the development and promotion of teachers' profession have gained more and more attentions.As an effective mean of studying class teaching,classroom observation is widely used in teaching.Classroom observation focuses on finding problems and solving the practical problems in classroom teaching with the classroom as a link.It can improve simultaneously the effectiveness of classroom teaching and the core teaching ability of teachers.Exercise calss of senior high school mathematics is an important bridge to connect teaching and learning,guidance and practice,and learning and use.It plays an important role in deepening the mathematical concept understanding,perfecting the mathematical knowledge structure,and cultivating the core literacy and innovative thinking of students.Using the method of classroom observation to study and evaluate teaching in exercise class of senior high school mathematics has important practical significance.Therefore,in this paper we study on the design applications of classroom observation mode in exercise class of senior high school mathematics.Based on large amount of literatures,we give the reviews of domestic and foreign research;discuss the research background,siganificance and methods;and also define the core concepts including classroom observation,exercise class in senior high school mathematics and classroom observation mode etc.The main researches consist of the following three aspects.Firstly,we conduct investigations on the present situation of senior high school mathematics exercise class and the focus points of the teachers and students.After analyzing the inverstigation data,we determine the classroom observation dimensions and observation points.Secondly,in accordance with the characters of senior high school mathematics exercise class,we improve and redesign the classroom observation poits and make the corresponding observation scale tables by referring on our investigation results and the researches of professor Cui yunhuo who has some achievements on classroom observation dimensions and points.Our observation points and scale tables contain eleven aspects including “mathematical literacy,level,ideas and methods involed inexercise”,“validity of problem setting”,“effectiveness of teacher' questions and answers” and etc.Thirdly,we form an experimental team and conduct case practice inthe daily teaching to test the effectiveness of our observation points and scale tables by using the formatted classroom observation mode.Researches have shown that using the above classroom observation mode in senior high school mathematics exercise class teching will contribute to the quality and effectiveness of class information exchange,and it also has great effect on improving the teaching level of the teachers no matter he is a class instructor or a class listener.But in pratical teaching process,the design and improvements of the observation points can't be accomplished at one stroke;we will keep developing and advancing with time to continue improving the design applications of classroom observation mode in exercise class of senior high school mathematics.
