The STEM education concept originated in the United States.That is the abbreviation of Science,Technology,Engineering,and Mathematics.Advocating an interdisciplinary educational philosophy which integration of science,technology,engineering,and mathematics knowledge into teaching practice activities.Promote the development of students' comprehensive quality and ability.This paper attempts to combine the STEM concept with high school biology teaching to carry out high school biology experiment teaching.The new curriculum standard emphasizes the core of the discipline as the purpose,the content focuses on the big concept,and the teaching process focuses on practicing.Which necessarily involves transcending the knowledge and competence requirements of the biology department itself.Math,technology,physics and chemistry can be integrated into experimental teaching practice.STEM education aims to develop students' ability to use science,technology,engineering,and mathematics to carry out innovative practice,and to train students to use scientific methods to solve practical problems.The overall goal of biological science teaching is to enhance students' biological core literacy,and the educational goals of the two are converging.Therefore,infiltrating the STEM concept into the biology teaching process will help students to develop in an all-round way,and thus enhance the students' core literacy.This paper combs relevant literature and conducts research and studies to summarize the application of STEM education.Review relevant literature and materials to sort out the teaching research combining STEM concept with related disciplines.And interviewed the school teachers and questionnaires were distributed to students to understand the current application status of STEM concept in high school biology teaching.Based on this,the high school biology experiment teaching based on the STEM concept is carried out.This study analyzes the characteristics of high school biology teaching based on the STEM concept combined with the characteristics of high school biology experiment teaching.With reference to the more mature STEM education5 E teaching mode,the high school biology experiment teaching mode based on STEM concept with biological characteristics is constructed,and each of the aspects of the model was analyzed in detailed.Based on the experiment "Detecting sugars,fats and proteins in biological tissues" extended to "Detecting nutrients in food".Combined with the specific teaching design,the STEM concept is infiltrated into the high school biology experiment teaching.Integrating the thinking of science,technology and mathematics into the teaching of high school biology experiments,In turn,the effectiveness of biological experiment teaching is improved,and the core literacy of students' biology is developed.Research results: This time,in the high school biology experiment teaching penetration STEM concept teaching practice research has achieved certain results.Carrying out high school biology experiment teaching activities based on STEM concept can improve students' interest in biology.Promote students' understanding and mastery of the conceptual knowledge of the subject,The ability of students to apply interdisciplinary knowledge has been improved during the establishment of the project.The event also brought the connection between classroom teaching and social life closer.Trained students' ability to solve practical problems,the core literacy of students' biology has also been improved at the same time.
