Academies are important components of China's ancient education displaying major role for inheriting and developing our traditional culture for over a thousand years.Currently,researches on China's ancient academies at home are tremendous and bear fruitful achievements,which,in the field of education studies,mainly focus on their academic spirit,institutions and teaching.However,researches on the learning methods are rather rare,insufficient in recapitulative and logical theoretical studies.Although systematic studies on learning methods in China's ancient academies have never formed from ancient times,in numerous ancient academies records,learning rules and remarks records from teachers and students at that time,we can still see that teachers and students were guided by the abundant learning methods endowed in these ancient academies teaching experience to pursue academic theories,virtues and life ambition.These valuable learning methods in academies serve as a historical foundation for the development and prosperity of science and theoretical studies in modern China and agree with humanistic education philosophy that underlines the subjectivity of students,which offers beneficial enlightenment to today's students on how to learn.On that account,documentation analysis and historical approaches are applied in this thesis,through the perspective of why and how the teachers and students learned in China's ancient academies,the most unique learning methods that bears representative and realistic significance will be found out by taking the essence and discarding the dregs of numerous learning cases in ancient academies.Also,modern study methodology will be utilized to make in-depth exploration the meaning and its representation form,which is the priority and difficulties of this study.On this basis,the thesis puts forward constructive inspirations for the dilemma faced by contemporary college students in their study.The key problem to be solved in this paper is to clarify the historical origin,implicit orientation,representation form and contemporary enlightenment of ancient college research methods.Detailed illustration will be discussed in the following parts.Firstly,On the basis of summarizing and reviewing the previous research results of ancient academies' learning methods,the thesis discusses the research value and significance of ancient academies' learning methods,and makes an in-depth interpretation and definition of the concept and nature of China's ancient academies and learning methods in this thesis;Secondly,on the basis of the evolution and development of the learning methods in ancient academies before their existence and their birth itself to clear the history of the learning methods.Under the impetus of the social and cultural progress,the beginning of the germination of the learning methods for random spontaneousimitation learning and experience have been promoted to systematically study purpose,to "schools of thought contend" academic boom,when the pre-Qin(Paleolithic Period-221 BC)Confucian learning theory thrived.In Tang Dynasty(618-907),the ancient academies developed from private schools came into being as learning and teaching organizations.On the basis of inheriting and expounding the learning theory of Confucianism in the pre-Qin(Paleolithic Period-221 BC)period,ancient academies formed their own learning methods different from those of official learning,which are embodied in two aspects: the implicit orientation and the representation form;Thirdly,the thesis sums up and expounds the implicit orientation of the ancient academies' learning methods,and discusses it of the ancient academies' learning methods from three dimensions of academic ambition,academic attitude and academic relationship;Fourthly,the thesis discusses the external and specific representations of ancient academies scholarship methods through three levels: "inquiry","knowledge" and "earnest practice".“Inquiry” refers to obtaining knowledge from practice;“Knowledge” refers to transforming knowledge to wisdom;“earnest practice” refers to using wisdom to guide practice.These three levels are an unceasing learning cycle of "from practice to practice" and "knowledge to knowledge";The fifth part mainly aims at the difficulties the current college students are facing with and the shortage of study and learning of ancient academies,referring to the practice of predecessors in the ancient academies.The thesis tries to apply the good experience of ancient academies to contemporary colleges and universities,and puts forward reasonable and effective enlightening strategies,that is,contemporary college students should be determined,be good at asking and performing practice.implicit orientation,...
