Since the 21st century,many countries around the world have made effort to improve the quality of science education.They have revised the curriculum standards and carried out a new round reform of science education.In 2017 and early 2018,the Ministry of Education in China promulgated t"the Primary School Science Curriculum Standard of Compulsory Education(2017 Edition)" and“the Physics Curriculum Standard of Senior High School(2017 Edition)".Taking a broad view of international,the Unite States is leading the world in the science and technology development,and attach great importance to the development of science education and the reform of science curriculum.In 2011,the United States promulgated "A Framework for K-12 Science Education",and two years later promulgated "Next Generation Science Standards:For States,By States".The NGSS embodies the practical experience and theoretical research achievements of American science education,which has a strong reference significance and reference value.This study chooses "the Physics Curriculum Standard of Senior High School(2017 Edition)" and "Next Generation Science Standards:For States,By States" as research object,and make a comparative study with reference to "the Primary School Science Curriculum Standard of Compulsory Education(2017 Edition)" and related literature.Based on content analysis,combining word frequency analysis with traditional qualitative research methods,this study makes a macro-comparison of "curriculum concept","curriculum objectives" and"content structure" between Chinese and American curriculum standards of science,and makes a micro-comparison of "curriculum content" and "curriculum assessment".The research finds that Chinese science curriculum standards have the following characteristics:emphasizing the characteristics and structure of disciplines;focusing on knowledge mastery in curriculum objectives;organizing courses according to the logical structure of disciplines;stressing the mastery and application of basic knowledge;emphasizing paper and pencil evaluation.In contrast,American science curriculum standards have the following advantages:focusing on integration and linkages;stressing the importance of ability performance;attaching importance to integration of STEM education in science curriculum;and emphasizing the feedback effect of evaluation on different subjects.Finally,the suggestions and enlightenment for the revision of Chinese physics curriculum standards in senior high are as follows:to condense the core concepts of subjects;to refine curriculum objectives and instructional objectives;to strengthen coherence and consistency;to pay attention to the generation process of concepts and rules;to refine academic evaluation indicators and to draw into task-based evaluation appropriately.
