In this essay ,the classification statistics of the inquiring exercises in the four editions of compulsory education"curriculum standard"chemical experimental textbooks are collected in the quantum ,the form of inquiry, STS, then the conclusions are gained, and through the full and accurate statistics ,clear tabulations , intuitionistic charts, the actual visage of the inquiring exercises in the four editions of compulsory education"curriculum standard"chemical experimental textbooks shown step by step ,some latent rules are gained. They reflect the common grounds and characteristics of the weave of the inquiring exercises in the four editions of compulsory education"curriculum standard"chemical experimental textbooks from different angles .Three parts are included in this essay: the first part mostly introduce the meaning of scientific inquiry, the factors of scientific inquiry, the essence of the inquiring exercises, the style of the inquiring exercises and the status and effect in the textbooks, which is the academic part. The second part is the nuclear ,which classifies and counts the inquiring exercises, gains and analyses data by statistics and contrast. On the foregoing basis, the third part which is the last draws a conclusion, finds existent problems and gives relevant advice.
