Teachers' reading is an important way for teachers to grow professionally.It plays an important role in enriching the spiritual world of teachers,improving teachers' professional skills and knowledge,improving teachers' self-understanding and teaching quality.Only by understanding the current situation of teachers' reading and exploring the reasons,we can achieve effective measures to promote teachers' reading.Based on the survey and interview of teachers in primary schools in Wuxi,it is found that there are various problems in teachers' reading:The reading quantity and reading time are less,and the reading among subjects is not balanced.Teachers lack effective reading methods and stay on the elementary reading.Reading is limited to personal reading,which lacks communication and dialogue.School reading environment and conditions need to be improved.Teachers lack certain reading incentives.The reading content is arbitrary,the reading is not planned,and the reading horizon is rather narrow.The causes of these problems are related to the teachers' reading habits,the conditions for their school survival,their reading methods and their understanding of education and reading.To promote the reading mode of teachers,from the elementary reading to the level of inspectional reading,analytical reading,and syntopical reading.Improve their reading quality,expand the horizons of teachers' reading and improve the reading style of teachers,making them an effective and active reader.Therefore,teachers need to re-read and firmly believe in the power of reading.They should increase the learning and practice of reading and improve the understanding of reading.Teachers need to adopt rich ways and methods to enhance the role of reading in their lives.Teachers should actively expand the scope of reading and expand the reading horizon.Teachers should change their reading level and move towards a deep and profound reading.
