In April 2015,the General Office of the State Council issued “the rural teacher support plan(2015-2020)”,which points out that by 2020 “to realize basic education modernization,the weak link and short board is in rural areas”.To realize the education modernization,the short board is in rural area.The key of rural education lies in rural teachers,especially in rural primary school teachers.Rural primary school teachers is a very special group.And how to improve the teacher's level is a noteworthy issue.There is an ancient Chinese saying that to open a book is always beneficial.An important way of improving rural teachers' quality is through reading.However,the present situation of rural primary school teachers' reading hasn't got enough attention.This paper mainly uses the literature analysis method,the questionnaire survey method and the interview method.First through the literature analysis of the "reading","teacher reading","rural teachers" and other related materials for sorting,induction and analysis,found that there is little to rural primary school teachers in our country as the object of reading research.First and then using the questionnaire method of Wuxue City,Hubei Province,the D town primary school teachers reading status were investigated in five aspects,and other teachers reading present situation investigation and study of the different is,this paper on digital reading teachers were also investigated.In the interview,the main focus of the rural primary school teachers on their reading of the review,the digital reading experience or view,the current rural primary school teachers to read the problems of these three aspects.The chapter-introduction brings forward the researching origins,points out the meaning,cleans research home and abroad up especially gives an annalysis.Then it demonstrates its theoretical basis,and defines the key concepts.The first chapter describes primary school teachers' reading status quo.The second chapter demonstrates the problem existing in D town primary school teachers' reading and analyzes the main reasons.The results of questionnaire and interview are following: teachers have weak sense of reading,don't read enough,lack time of reading,don't have right way of reading,don't know good enough of digital reading.The influence factors are subjective and objective.Then it provides some suggestions to improve the rural primary school teachers reading level.The teachers,rural primary schools and the levels of government should working together.The teachers should read more actively to promote the professional development.Rural primary schools should gather all resources to ensure teachers' reading.All levels of government should take measures to lead teachers read.
