With the development of society and human progress,the social development of children has increasingly become the focus of research.Gardner notes that negotiation is an important component of interpersonal skills.Therefore,it is very important to cultivate children’s negotiation ability.Children’s peer negotiation behavior is the behavior that children with similar age and similar level of psychological development communicate with each other through information,express their own wishes and needs,coordinate resources or opinions such as items and opportunities,and try to reach a consensus.In this study,36 children,including 19 boys and 17 girls,from a kindergarten in wuhan city were selected by natural observation method.The observation period was 10 weeks and 50 days.During the observation period,the researcher objectively recorded and profoundly analyzed the peer negotiation behaviors of children,and processed relevant data.The results are as follows:From the context of children’s peer negotiation behavior:regional activities are the main situation for the occurrence of peer negotiation behavior,followed by sports activities.Life activities,teaching activities and transition links are rare.From the peer negotiation object:The same sex negotiation is more than that of the opposite sex.From the perspective of negotiation subject emotions,positive emotions dominate,neutral emotions take the second place,and negative emotions are the least.From the point of view of the content of peer negotiation,resource negotiation is the main method.Specifically,the negotiation content of acquiring items appears the most frequently,followed by coordination intention,activity opportunity,acquisition role,seeking support,active help,acquisition of space and maintenance rule.From the perspective of peer negotiation strategies,it mainly focuses on changing others’ strategies,integrating the will of both parties and adjusting self-strategies are the second and third respectively.To be specific,the most frequently used negotiation strategy is explanation,followed by inquiry and request,followed by novelty exchange.Sharing exchange,delayed gratification,waiting in turn,threat utilization,compensation and asking for help are rarely used.From the feedback of the negotiation object,the frequency of occurrence is from more to less,followed by calm acceptance,glad acceptance and rejection.Further analysis with the interview method shows that the influencing factors of peer negotiation behavior of children in large classes are:children’s personal factors,including their ability to choose opinions and same-sex preference;Activity type factor;Activity material factor;Peer relationship factors;The factors of family education,including the way offamily education and the concept of parental consultation;Social gender concept factor.Educational Suggestions to strengthen children’s peer negotiation:pay attention to children’s peer negotiation and enhance children’s self-expression ability;Strengthen the training of children’s negotiation consciousness and strategy;Encourage peer interaction and improve the ability of viewpoint selection;Pay attention to the role model,set up the example of negotiation behavior;Democratic management with appropriate positive feedback.
