Nowadays,with the development of the education of rural areas,more and more college students teach in the countryside,especially young female teachers.They are the core power of rural basic education.They play an important part in rural area education.Therefore,it has special significance on their living and personal development.To analyze the characteristics of the multiple roles of female teachers in rural areas and then take corresponding measures is helpful for them to face up to the conflicts between work and family correctly,improve their thoughts and behaviors,and finally lay a good foundation for their sound development.Therefore,this thesis takes rural female teachers as the research object,and carries out a qualitative study on their real life,restoring the original state of the conflict between work and family faced by rural female teachers according to the inter-subjective dialogue,and the thesis also puts forward some measures to meet the conflict through explaining the main factors which cause the conflict.In the thesis,the researcher presents interviews of five young female teachers in rural areas.It aims to make sense of the similarities and differences of the conflict between work and family of rural young female teachers.And the researcher chose a married young female teacher and a unmarried female teacher and expect to understand the different kinds of conflicts between work and family.This thesis is divided into five parts.The first part states the formative process of the study through the discussion about the origin of the research,the importance of the research and the literature review.The second part presents the whole research process under the explanation of the research object,research approach,data collection and analysis,thesis organization.The third part introduces a case study of a married young female teacher and a unmarried young female teacher in rural areas in order to show rural young female teachers' real situation of their conflict and their feelings about it.In the fourth part,based on the case study,the thesis makes a furtherdiscussion about the resonating topics in the interview and integrates the stories of other teachers so as find out the key factors that cause the conflict between work and family.The last part brings forward effective measures pertinently to ease the conflict between work and family of rural female teachers.In the end,it reflects on the research and gives some suggestionsfor the future study.The research indicates that the female teachers in rural areas are fettered by traditional concepts in real life.Factors like the time and energy spending on raising children and housework,career cycle crossing with family life cycle,and family support influence rural female teachers to different extent.The thesis raises corresponding measures to help rural female teachers to respond to the conflict.They are cited as follows: Firstly,the teachers themselves should reasonably allocate their time and control their life pace,change their roles and improve the participation of the male in housework,understand and accept themselves,build up reasonable expectation,and make a life plan according to self-developing targets.Secondly,the society should make use of its role of education and medium to publicize the modern civilization and consciousness of gender equality,creating a good policy and public opinion environment for female teachers in rural areas.Thirdly,schools should stick to people-oriented concept and establish good working environment for those teachers.Last but not least,families should also give support to the female teachers.With the efforts of the internal and external factors.female teachers in rural areas will enjoy warm family life and rationally face the dual challenges from work and family.
