The concept of biology is the key content of Senior High school biology learning.The importance of using appropriate methods and strategies to help students understand concepts can not be ignored.Physical model method goes through the process of “Clear task-Operation model-Thinking representation-Concept formation” which can effectively help students to perceive and summarize biological concepts.Supported by the Core idea and the theory of double coding,the model method is effectively combined with the process of concept learning.It is conducive to the formation and development of biological concepts and the development of scientific thinking,so as to improve students' key competences in biology.By communicating with front-line teachers,filling in questionnaires and observing classes,it is found that teachers lack a clear understanding of the essence of biological concepts,physical models and physical model methods,and lacking of corresponding methods and strategies in the teaching of biological concepts,or the evaluation system of the effect of biology concept teaching is not perfect.In this paper,the physical model method is used to carry out the practical research of concept teaching.According to system theory and conceptual hierarchy theory,the subordinate concepts of concepts 1,3 and 4 in the 2017 edition of the high school biology curriculum standard are classified.In-depth analysis of physical models involved in concepts and generating and optimizing Teaching Design.By using observation method and quasi-experimental research method,this paper evaluates and analyses the effect of concept teaching,and finds that physical model method can promote the learning of biological concepts.
