Study On The Elementary TCFL Textbooks For Preschool Children

In recent years,the study of children's TCFL textbooks mainly focuses on the aspects of the compilation of local textbooks and the analysis of the characteristics of textbooks.Chinese textbooks for preschool children have not formed a complete system,and there are few Chinese textbooks for this age group in China.At present,only Monkey King Chinese(for children below seven years old),Happy Hour Chinese for Young Children and the Chinese Garden can be found in the market,but they can not meet the actual teaching needs.As a representative children's teaching material in China,Chinese Paradise is suitable for overseas primary school students.It can also be used as a teaching material for preschool children.This paper takes the first textbook of Chinese Paradise(2nd Edition)and Delicious Children's Chinese as well as the matching exercise books as the research objects.Based on the cognitive characteristics of preschool children and the rules of second language acquisition,the two sets of textbooks are compared in two aspects:The arrangement of the contents of the textbooks and the elements of language teaching.Besides,based on the investigation and analysis of the use of the two textbooks,this paper summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of the two textbooks,and puts forward some suggestions for the compilation of Chinese textbooks for preschool children.The introduction part of this paper reviews the current research situation from the aspects of cognitive development of preschool children,second language acquisition rules,and the current situation of TCFL as well as Chinese text compilation for preschool children.The purpose,significance,research object and research method of this paper are also introduced.The text is divided into four chapters:Chapter one:This chapter carries on the contrast and the analysis to the two textbooks content arrangement.This chapter mainly compares the general arrangement of the two textbooks and the compilation of the texts and exercises,and analyzes the contents of the arrangement according to the cognitive characteristics of preschool children and the rules of second language acquisition.Chapter two:This chapter compares and analysis each language teaching element between the two textbooks,mainly on phonetics,vocabulary,grammar,Chinese characters,culture.Besides,according to the cognitive characteristics of preschool children,it is pointed out that the two textbooks do not accord with the students' proximal development zone in terms of vocabulary difficulty.Chapter three:According to the teaching practice,this chapter carries on the investigation and analysis to the two teaching materials use situation.Firstly,we introduce learning situation of survey objects,and then analyze the use of teaching materials from two aspects of teaching situation and classroom learning situation.It is found that the two textbooks can arouse students' enthusiasm in class,but the teaching situation of each language in Paradise 1 is better than that in Delicious 1.Chapter four:Based on the cognitive characteristics of preschool children,this paper makes a comparative analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the two textbooks,and provides some suggestions for the compilation of Chinese textbooks for preschool children.The compilation of Chinese textbooks for preschool children should not only follow the principles of practicality,systematicness and science,but also emphasize the principles of interest,pertinence and intuition.
