Education is the foundation of a century-long plan.Quality is the foundation of education.In order to improve the quality of Higher Vocational Education in China,in recent years,vocational education evaluation have been widely performed in China.These evaluation activities have played an important role in improving the quality of Higher Vocational Education in our country.But like the traditional assessment methods,the main participants and beneficiaries of educational activities-student subjects are neglected.In theory,students' participation in learning is one of the key indicators to measure the quality of education.Therefore,the monitoring and evaluation of education quality should pay attention to students' real participation in the learning process.This study is based on the student-centered theory,the quality of effort theory,the student involvement theory and the theoretical research of Community College Survey of Student Engagement(CCSSE),and compiles "Tianjin Higher Vocational Colleges Students' Learning Participation Scale Questionnaire",trying to understand the situation of Tianjin Higher Vocational Colleges' Learning Participation.It will provide some reference for the practical research related to the quality of Vocational Education in China.This questionnaire follows the five dimensions of the American Community College Student Participation Survey(CCSSE):teacher-student interaction level,active cooperative learning,student academic challenge,support for learners and students' self-directed and hard-working learning.The research shows that This study shows that the overall performance of Tianjin Vocational College Students' participation in learning is better.In all dimensions of learning participation,Tianjin vocational college students show fairly good performance in two aspects: support for learners and active cooperative learning,and the students' efforts are generally good.Academic challenge and teacher-student interaction are at a low level.Further analysis of the data shows that the degree of academic challenge needs to be strengthened urgently;support for learners still needs to be improved;Students' efforts need to be improved;the level of teacher-student interaction needs to be further improved;Active Learning Should be Strengthened in Active Cooperative Learning;students' participation in different grades is quite different.In view of the above shortcomings,the following suggestions given: Transforming the teaching mode to improve the challenge of study to students;Improve campus equipment and enhance support for learners;Change students' awareness and improve students' motivation to study hard;Broaden channels of communication between teachers and students,enrich the contents of teacher-student interaction;Learn from others' learning methods,strengthen the ability of initiative cooperation and balance resource allocation,promote balanced development among grades.At the end of this study,the author summarizes the results of this research,points out the shortcomings in the research.It also prospectively points out the direction of further research on propositions or tasks,and tries to find a new way to improve the quality of Higher Vocational education.
