To review objectively,comprehensively and timely the development experience of physical education in developed countries is of great academic value for summarizing the advanced achievements of theoretical research on Physical Education in developed countries,recognizing the development characteristics of foreign physical education research and understanding the paradigm of foreign physical education research.At the same time,it is also of great academic value for the discipline of physical education in China.Construction,scientific research management,formulation of relevant policies and future development of physical education have important theoretical and practical significance.The United States is a recognized sports power in the world,and has accumulated a lot of mature experience in sports education related research.Therefore,it is necessary to study and learn the advanced achievements of American sports education.Based on scientific theory,this paper adheres to the research principles of combining qualitative and quantitative research with historical and logical research,highlights the innovation of research methods,changes the traditional research methods,and carries out visual analysis of sports education research literature between China and the United States with the help of visualization analysis software CiteSpace,comparing China and the United States.In order to find out the shortcomings of domestic research,the research on education differs in the number of documents,high-yield authors,core institutions,research hotspots and sources of knowledge base.Through the research,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)In the past ten years,the research literature on Physical Education in China and the United States is at a high level,and the number of research literature on Physical Education in China is higher than that in the United States.Domestic sports education research literature as a whole presents the characteristics of "V" type,while American sports education research literature shows a gentle growth trend.(2)There are fewer high-yielding writers in domestic physical education research,and there are more "isolated island" nodes and less cooperation among writers.The phenomenon of "single fight" among writers is more obvious;there are more high-yielding writers in the United States,and the cooperation between writers is closer,forming a certain cooperative research group.The core institutions of physical education research in China are mainly physical education institutes affiliated to physical education institutes or comprehensive institutes.Foreign physical education research institutes are mainly physical education majors affiliated to comprehensive institutes.The scope and intensity of cooperation between foreign physical education research institutes are higher than those in China.(3)In terms of the distribution of research hotspots,students' physical fitness and health,the design of physical education curriculum and school physical education are the common concerns of the two countries,but the emphasis is different.American physical education scholars focus on obesity of children and adolescents,while domestic focus on lifelong physical education and sports power.From the perspective of the breadth of hot topics,domestic scholars' research is relatively extensive,while American research shows a high degree of agglomeration.(4)From the point of view of the research methods of physical education in China and the United States,domestic research on physical education pays more attention to qualitative thinking,mostly from the macro perspective,but lacks empirical research;while American research on physical education emphasizes more from the micro perspective,the problem orientation is more clear,and empirical research is its characteristic.(5)The knowledge base of physical education research in the United States mainly comes from four dimensions: children and adolescents' physical activity program research,children and adolescents' psychological mechanism of participating in physical activity research,teacher education,children and adolescents' physical activity policy research.
