The promulgation of the “New Curriculum Standard of Geography” has greatly changed the teaching methods,which are backward,disorder and featureless.It has set new requirements for teachers' teaching and students' learning: the innovative teaching method.The students are required to change their formal learning methods and encouraged to achieve a purposeful interaction with the teachers in class.It means that the teachers need to abandon the previous teaching mode of cramming education and leave blanks in class to allow students to learn independently.Teachers and students must constitute a teaching model of “mutual guidance between teachers and students,mutual guidance between students and students,mutual learning between teachers and students and mutual learning between students and students”.Since the new curriculum reform,Many teachers have been slowly improving their teaching Methods,Many new teaching methods and concepts are applied in the present teaching.Many new teaching methods and concepts are applied in the present teaching.Firstly,this thesis made a feasibility analysis of the application of the teaching art of blank on geography teaching in junior high school.Then it made an investigation through interview and survey to find the existing problems.At last,it put forward some useful strategies for geography teachers in junior high school about the application of blank teaching art.
