"Blank space" originated from the traditional Chinese philosophical ideas of "counting white when black","virtual reality is born" and "useless use",and was subsequently applied to painting creation,becoming a painting creation method.With the passage of time,the art of "leaving blank" has gradually expanded to many fields such as modern Chinese poetry,photography,dance,drama,architecture,and novel creation.In recent years,more and more scholars and front-line teachers have noticed the teaching value of "blank space" and introduced it into the classroom to serve classroom teaching.From the perspective of language teaching,"Blank" art refers to a classroom teaching method that transplants and borrows the creation and appreciation of "blank" art from language teaching due to the influence of the "blank" creative art technique in traditional Chinese painting,that is,the teacher uses the novel text to "leave blank",in the teaching process through import,questioning and homework,etc.,to create suspense,leaving a blank space for students to think,so as to mobilize students' enthusiasm for active exploration,promote students' imagination,and exercise students' thinking ability and aesthetic ability.A teaching art that improves the efficiency of classroom teaching.The purpose of the article is to understand the experience and misunderstandings of teachers in the use of "blank" art through literature research method,questionnaire survey method,interview method and case analysis method,seek the strategies and methods of junior high school language teachers to effectively use "blank" art,and evaluate the effect of "blank" art in the teaching of junior high school novels,so as to provide ideas for solving difficult problems in the practical application of "blank" art and promote the development of junior high school language novel teaching.First of all,through the use of literature research methods,the paper collects and integrates relevant literature to explore the value and necessity of using the art of "blank space" in the teaching of novels in junior high schools.Secondly,this study conducted questionnaire surveys and teacher interviews in three junior high schools,investigated the current situation of the application of "blank space" art in the teaching of junior high school Chinese novels,and analyzed the problems existing in the application of "blank" art in the teaching of junior high school novels.Third,by studying the typical cases of novel selection and novel teaching in junior high school language textbooks,the application of "blank space" art in the teaching of junior high school language novels is proposed.The article grasps the characteristics of the novel style,relies on the "blank" of the novel text,creates the teaching "blank" in the form of introduction,questioning and homework,and constructs a new strategy for the use of "blank" art in the teaching of junior high school novels,which provides useful ideas for solving problems in practical application with "blank" art.Finally,based on teaching cases,combined with literature research and practical exploration,this paper makes an evaluation of the effect of "blank space" art in the teaching of junior high school novels.
