In recent years, some scholars have considered that social trust and social interaction are important factors influencing life satisfaction. This study aims to examine the impact of interpersonal trust and network interaction as two important aspects of individual social capital on residents' life satisfaction.Based on the theoretical hypothesis model, this study uses CFPS2016 data to analyze the relationship between interpersonal trust, network interaction and life satisfaction by using Logistic Ordered regression model, and uses AMOS24.0 software to establish structural equation model and explore its intermediary mechanism. And the main conclusions are as follows.First of all, interpersonal trust has a significant impact on residents' life satisfaction.Among them, special trust and general trust have a positive impact on personal life satisfaction, and universal trust has no significant impact on life satisfaction. To a certain extent, this affirms the applicability of social capital theory at the micro level.Secondly, network interaction has a significant impact on residents' life satisfaction. The higher the frequency of entertainment interaction and information interaction using the Internet, the higher the residents' life satisfaction. The use of the Internet for social interaction has no significant impact on life satisfaction. This not only affirms the applicability of the theory of social interaction to a certain extent, but also made a useful supplement.Thirdly, the intermediary effect of network interaction between interpersonal trust and residents' life satisfaction accounts for 12.20% of the total effect. Finally, demographic characteristics(gender, health status, personal income level),family characteristics(marital status),social security characteristics(health care, housing security),have a significant impact on residents' life satisfaction, which is consistent with previous research results. In addition, the study found that age has a S-shaped among residents' life satisfaction and cities have higher life satisfaction than rural residents.
