Ideological work is an extremely important task of the party.Ideological education is about who cultivates people and what kind of people to train,and it is about the future and destiny of national security and socialism.As an important place for cultural inheritance and ideological education,colleges and universities shoulder the important historical mission of educating people.The theory of cultural self-confidence and the theory of ideology construction are highly related to Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.The two influence each other and dialectically unite.From the perspective of cultural self-confidence,the ideological education of colleges and universities has its own shortcomings,and it faces the challenges of Western cultural infiltration and “pan-entertainment” of network culture.In this regard,colleges and universities should be targeted,by grasping the characteristics of Chinese culture,giving play to the role of cultural education,consolidating the theoretical basis of culture,strengthening the construction of network culture,enriching cultural practice activities,etc.to highlight cultural self-confidence and enhance the cultural literacy and promotion of ideology work teams in colleges and universities.The working methods of ideology education in colleges and universities,enriching the content of ideology education in colleges and universities,optimizing the network culture environment of ideology education in colleges and universities,and working hard to achieve the goal of ideology education in colleges and universities.This essay is divided into five parts.The first part of the introduction is mainly about the research background,significance,research status at home and abroad,research ideas,methods and possible innovations.The second part explains the source of cultural self-confidence theory and proposes and the basic concepts and theories of characteristics,ideology,ideology education,and college ideology education.The third part analyzes the relationship between college ideology education and cultural self-confidence and the new features and functions of college ideology education based on cultural self-confidence.The role of the theoretical framework of the subject research;the fourth part briefly describes the multi-faceted challenges faced by college ideology education in the perspective of cultural self-confidence,including the main body,multiple ideology environment and the “pan-entertainment” phenomenon of network culture.Many challenges and difficulties related to cultural factors;the fifth part is from the perspective of grasping the characteristics of Chinese culture,promoting the function of cultural education,constructing a comprehensive cultural education system,and practicing the concept of cultural education,from the ideological main body and ideology of colleges and universities.Educational methods,ideological education content and other aspects of the new ideological education work explores the strategy of innovation in ideological education in universities under the background of cultural self-confidence.
