In recent years,especially after the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,our Party and country have been attaching great importance to the construction of college teaching staff of the Ideological and Political course,and a series of related policies have been introduced and implemented.In response to the requirements of the Party and country and in consideration of its actual conditions,Universities in Xinjiang have carried out a number of effective measures to strengthen the construction of that college teaching staff,which have improved both the quality and the quantity of these teachers.This team of teachers have been playing a critical role in carrying out the ideological and political work,constructing the channels of ideological and political education,making college students be healthy both mentally and physically,and maintaining the ideological security in universities.Due to the adverse regional natural and socio-economic factors along with the complex and volatile situations at home and abroad,however,the construction of college teaching staff of the Ideological and Political course in Xinjiang cannot meet the actual needs.In view of this,this thesis investigates the status quo,potential problems and underlying reasons of the college teaching staff of the Ideological and Political course in ten universities in Xinjiang,and then proposes corresponding countermeasures.This thesis consists of five parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly expounds the background,significance and methods of this research as well as the research status in both overseas and domestic.The second part focuses on the definitions of relevant concepts and the theoretical supports for the following analysis.The third part analyzes the importance of the construction of college teaching staff of the Ideological and Political course in Xinjiang from the perspective of society,colleges,teachers and students.Using methods of literature research and questionnaire,the fourth part describes the actual situations of the college teaching staff of the Ideological and Political course in the ten selected universities and concludes the following five main problems: first,the number of full-time teachers is insufficient,and the teacher-student ratio is relatively low;second,the proportion of high-level talents is small,that is,many teachers have no advanced educational backgrounds and professional title;third,some teachers' subject consciousness and research ability is weak,and then fail to achieve high-quality scientific achievements;fourth,some teachers from job burnout under the heavy teaching pressure;fifth,the existing scarce professional training cannot satisfy the teachers' crying needs.Based on scientific analysis and the actual situations in Xinjiang,this thesis puts forward four corresponding suggestions: first,clarify the goal and build a scientific and reasonable faculty structure;second,integrate the factors of the teaching staff and enhance their overall strength;third,create a reasonable teaching staff management mechanism by implementing specific supportive policy;fourth,stimulate the internal driving force of the teaching staff.In conclusion,this thesis might have a practical reference value for the further construction of college teaching staff of the Ideological and Political course in Xinjiang.
