A Case Study On The Interpersonal Difficulties Of Orphans Under The Model Of Rational Emotional Therapy

Child and adolescent period is the human and social interaction more,began to think to oneself,form their own outlook on life,values and the main period of personality,is affecting a person whether future adult mental health,whether to have a happy life,so the adolescent physical and mental health is very important.As a vulnerable group,orphans have been the object of social protection since ancient times.In the process of growing up,orphans,due to their own particularity,are more likely to be affected by the environment and have more problems than ordinary children.This study,through the case work method of professional social work,gives play to the purpose of social work to help others and help themselves,helps orphans who are affected by the loss of parents and have growth problems,and solves the problems and gains the ability of healthy growth.In this paper,a series of psychological counseling was given to orphans who were assisted by the internship institution where the author worked.This study USES the method of case social work,observation method and unstructured interview method in the research method,and USES the scales that are recognized by the academia: "comprehensive interpersonal relationship diagnostic scale" and "social anxiety scale for children" to collect all aspects of information needed by the study.In the intervention activities aimed at the plight of the subject,rational emotional therapy mode is the main treatment method,and the dominant perspective theory and ecological system theory in social work are combined.Through the contact with the clients and their parents,the workers gained their trust and positive cooperation,so they designed a series of targeted counseling programs,which effectively improved the clients' interpersonal communication problems.Workers in the evaluation survey and field visit concluded that the service object has seven main factors affecting their good interpersonal skills: Chinese course has greater difficulties;Monotonous life is not conducive to quality development;Less friends,less social support;Can not have the courage to express themselves,the existence of social avoidance of distress;Having a conversation problem;Having prejudice against the opposite sex and difficulties in communicating with the opposite sex;There is a lack of trust in others and a fear that mom will take her away and separate her from grandma.Through the intervention of the workers,the language learning ability and level of the interviewees have been improved after the counseling activities.More cheerful personality,psychological quality stronger,stronger social ability,social scope more wide;Attitudes towards the opposite sex have improved;Increased security.The intervention of this case helped the case owner practically and improved the plight of the case owner.
