Practical Research On Social Work Involving Patients With Accidental Injuries

With the development of social economy,the improvement of transportation and the improvement of mechanization of production,the insecurities of society have gradually increased.Accidental injuries caused by traffic accidents,machine whip injuries and falling from heights have become common diseases in hospital orthopedics.Due to the special cause of the accidental injury,the accidental injury patient is different from the ordinary patient.In addition to the physical illness,the accidental injury patient is often accompanied by psychological,economic and social problems.The traditional biomedical model is difficult to meet the needs of patients with accidental injuries,and the new medical model of bio-psychological-social integration caters to people's new needs.Under the new medical model,the hospital established the Ministry of Medical Social Work and introduced social work professionals.The medical social workers use professional methods and techniques of social work to provide professional services to patients to meet the psychological,economic and social needs of patients.Based on the author's social work practice in the orthopedics department of a top three hospital in Hunan Province,this paper collects and organizes the data through the literature method,the questionnaire method and the field observation method,so as to analyze and study the social work intervention accident patients.First,the author analyzes the problem of accidental injury patients through the collected data,and analyzes the needs of patients with accidental injuries.Specifically,the needs of accidental injury patients include economic needs,emotional counseling needs,and knowledge of rehabilitation and nutrition.Demand and the need to acquire knowledge related to accident compensation.Secondly,according to the problems and needs of patients with accidental injuries,under the guidance of social support theory and cognitive theory,casework and group work methods are used to intervene in patients with accidental injuries.The case work method provides personalized services for accidental injuries by establishing relationships,assessing needs,specific interventions,and closing and evaluating,and meets the individual needs of the client's financial assistance and social support.The group work method understands the common needs of patients with accidental injuries through the preliminary needs assessment,and carries out the “bone” hopes for the common needs of patients with accidental injuries.The group activities of “you and me” meet the common needs of patients with accidental injuries..Finally,through reflection and summarization of case work and group work methods in providing services for patients with accidental injuries,and providing some suggestions and countermeasures for social work interventions for accidental injuries,so as to better serve patients with accidental injuries and improve accidental injuries.Medical experience.
