Social Work Intervention Of Rural Youth’s Work Adjustment

Farmers had been tied to the land for thousands of years, because the Chinese Land System and the policy of physiocracy, farmers rely on land to survival for generations, this had shaped Chinese township culture, farmers go out no matter how far, how long, are hoping to returning to their hometown. After the founding of The People’s Republic of China, the rapid expansion of population size, human-land contradiction highlight, there has been a lot of idle rural population. In the push and pull of China’s urban economy and the coastal economy, a large number of idle rural population flow to the cities, it become a unique group in our country--migrant workers. Because of the dual society intersecting town and country, the first generation of migrant workers leave their homes into the city but do not quit farming, the land is still the main source of income, into the city just to get salary in their free time on Agricultural production, which has a transient cycle characteristics. Generation of migrant workers, rural students have become the main rural population to urban areas. To compare with the first generation of migrant workers, they are younger, grasp a higher level of knowledge, professional skills of labor, wage income obtained at the city in addition, the city would like to be based in the city life.For most young migrant workers,it’s not easy for them to stay in the city and get a good life. The cost of living in city is higher than the countryside, especially the prices of housing,if they insist to stay in urban,they should consider all above carefully.If they fault to get a life in the city, then return to hometown is the best choice. As a matter of fact,most young migrant workers have accustomed to the work of the city, so when they come back and to undertake a work in rural organization,they fell they can’t adapt the work they do.This paper is to analysis the reason of dis-adjustment an use social work method to help them get change.In order to achieve the research purpose,we used the literature method, interview method and observation method to collect information, Through our investigation, we found that the main dis-adjustment is the job content and the work rewards, so we use case work and group work to intervention them,help them make changes. though the social work intervention, client get self-improvement, social work intervention get success.
