With the introduction of the whole-person health model, the medical field pays more and more attention to psychological and social treatments other than the physical diseases of the service object. For example, the emotional management of patient caregivers has become a concern of medical social work. After months of participatory observation, the author found that caregivers,as patients’ treatment companions, generally have low quality of life, diverse negative emotions and weak social support.By consulting the existing research, the author found that the current academic attention to caregivers of leukemia patients is mostly concentrated in the field of nursing and psychology, and the current research in the field of social work pays relatively little attention to the emotional problems of caregivers with leukemia patients, which forms the research space of this article. Therefore, the author decided to use the group’s working methods from the perspective of superiority, supplemented by psychological methods such as Balint Group and relaxation therapy,to try to improve the emotional management ability of caregivers with leukemia patients. After further analysis of the emotional status and causes of caregivers with leukemia patients, the author designed activities such as "emotion Facebook","Emotion Card","heart Card","Balint Station","Relaxation Exercise" and "Coptic Lecture Hall" from the four levels of emotional cognition, emotional regulation, emotional expression and emotional catharsis.Form, divided into five sections of group activities to carry out practices. From many angles,it is pointed out that although under the influence of force majeure factors and social workers themselves factors, there is relatively large mobility of team members and timeouts in some links in this group activity, the overall practices process is relatively smooth, and the group’s goals have been basically achieved. In addition, the author also reflected on the problems existing in the practice of rational emotional therapy,Balint group model and group working methods in improving the emotional management ability of caregivers with leukemia patients and gave corresponding suggestions. It is pointed out that social workers should strengthen their own literacy, flexibly use the theories and methods learned in practice, and achieve specific analysis of specific situations. At the same time, they should enhance communication with medical personnel and create high-quality service teams.Based on the results of various evaluation results, the author believes that it is feasible for medical social workers to use the working methods of the group to intervene in the improvement of the emotional management ability of caregivers with leukemia patients. The working model of the Balint group is equally applicable in the caregiver group, helping to alleviate the conflict between caregivers and patients. This practice has strong reference value for the development of follow-up similar groups.
