Dong Zhongshu was a master of Confucian Classics Studies in the Han dynasty,who was not only knows as a famous ideologist,philosopher and educator,but also praised as “Confucius in the Han Dynasty”,he had specialized Gong Yang Chunqiu.The Dui Xian Liangce is the text of countermeasures written by Dong Zhongshu when he was responded Hanwu emperor's summons for sagacious man,three recommendations were implemented by him,which involves dismissing the hundred schools and respect only the Confucianism,establishing Taixue and arranging the sagacious teachers,promoting election,they became the main content of the Han wudi's cultural and educational policy.Dong Zhongshu's higher education thoughts are concentrated in Dui Xian Liangce,This paper emphasizes on applying the theories of higher education to analyze Dui Xian Liangce.By analyzing Dong Zhongshu's higher education thoughts and its influence from five different aspects.The five aspects involves the social and political conditions in the development of higher education,the construction in higher education organizations,the establishment in content and curriculum of higher education,the construction of teachers and the way out of gradates incolleges and universities.This paper hoped to be used for reference for practices and theories of higher education in nowadays.This study includes six chapters.The first chapter introduces the reasons for choosing a topic,significance of study,literature review,definition of concepts and research methodology.In the second chapter,it aims to analyze the development in social and political conditions of higher education from Dong Zhongshu's grand unified view.As seen from the third chapter,which focus on analyzing the reasons of Dong Zhongshu of establishment Taixue,dissecting the institution of Taixue and describing the value in the idea of Taixue's construction that from the lessons for the demise of the dynasty,the dilemma of remaining talent retention,the needs in the improvement of the officer and the citizen,and the needs for unification of the country.The fourth chapter states the analysis of Dong Zhongshu's views which take the Confucianism Classics Studies as course content in Taixue.Additionally,the four main reasons,the specific contents and meanings were analyzed deeply.The fifth chapter aims to analyze Dong Zhongshu's views of “sagacious teachers” from the angle of construction of teachers in higher education institutions,that points out the standard and function of the wise teacher,and interpreters the appointment of sagacious teachers and the teaching characteristics.The last chapter focus on analyzing Dong Zhongshu's thoughts from gradates' outlet of colleges or universities,and from the perspective of whole educational process in Taixue,the source of students,the query of graduation and the appointment of officers to study the real meaning in “exerting the ability by examination”.Durkheim once mentioned that only research meticulously the past that we can understand the present and anticipate the future.The purposes of this paper are to describe the Zhongshu's higher education thoughts in comprehensive and deep way.Based on enriching relevant studies on higher education ideological theory,that can connect with the reform and development of present higher education.From seeking wisdom from historical practice in nowadays' higher education,it is used as reference for development of present higher education :the country is supposed to develop vigorously for the higher education,build “Double number one” colleges(the higher quality in educational course and university),organize a group of “Sagacious teachers”,strengthen the construction ofteaching staff,cultivate the creative talents and comprehensive university students.
