With the implementation of the new curriculum standard,instrumental music teaching has been paid more and more attention in primary and secondary schools.In recent years,instrumental music teaching in primary schools has made some achievements,but also there are many problems,such as: less instrumental teaching hours,small audience,random teaching content arrangement,students playing skills low-end wandering and so on.These problems seriously hinder the development of instrumental music teaching in primary schools.This paper takes five primary schools in Changsha as the main object,through interviewing five music teachers in five primary schools,observing the teaching of instrumental music and orchestra teaching,and making a full study on the teaching of instrumental music in primary schools.Through investigation,the author sums up the main reasons for the problems in instrumental music teaching in primary schools from three aspects: concept,content and method: the teaching idea of instrumental music is deviated,the choice of teaching content is intermingled,and the teaching method of instrumental music is single.Based on Confucius' thought of "music teaching",this paper analyzes the causes of the above problems,and puts forward some corresponding countermeasures: establishing correct music values,carefully selecting musical instruments and music,and optimizing teaching methods to improve teaching efficiency.The author hopes that through the investigation and analysis of the present situation of music instrumental music teaching in five primary schools and the countermeasures,the author hopes to reflect on the problems in the practical operation of instrumental music teaching.In order to put forward some feasible suggestions for front-line teachers and more educators to carry out instrumental music teaching,and to better face and solve the problems existing in instrumental music teaching in primary schools.It is expected to promote the overall development of instrumental music teaching in primary school music curriculum and give full play to the important position of instrumental music teaching in music teaching.
