The mathematics review class is a unique course type.It is aimed at fostering students' mathematical thinking abilities and helping students to construct the overall mathematics knowledge structure on the basis of reviewing the mathematics knowledge what the students have learned and forming the knowledge network with the teacher's guidance.At present,there are studies on mathematics review classes,which focuses are on the middle school.There are few studies on mathematics review classes in primary schools.These studies explain the problems in mathematics review classes.But the strategies of solving problems lack depth and theoretical support.This study attempts to have a deeper understanding of the current situation of mathematics review class in primary schools.The researchers went to four primary schools in Hunan Province,interviewed 30 teachers.And it states the current situation of the primary school mathematics review class from four aspects: the teachers' cognition of mathematics review class,the selection of the teaching contents,the use of teaching methods,and the teacher's reflection on the problems of the mathematics review class.At the same time,this study finds that there are some problems in the mathematics review class: the wrong function orientation,“grade-oriented practices” in teaching and the inappropriate teaching method.Through analyzing these problems,it finds out why the problems cause: the deviation of the teaching concept,the lack of scientificity in selecting teaching contents,and the lack of the students' subjectivity.The core of this study is in Chapter 3.In this chapter,the researchers combine their own teaching strategies which are observed in the mathematics review class and are worth learning.And then the researchers analyze what the famous teachers do in the aspects of dealing with teaching contents,designing teaching processes,and the effective methods to help students construct mind maps.In terms of relevant experience,the author puts forward three strategies to improve the quality of mathematics review class in primary school.The first one is to know the specificity of the mathematics review class,establish the teaching value orientation of "review the past,know the newest" and realize the transformation of the teaching concept.The second is to guide students to build a knowledge network,to help students master the nature of knowledge,to eliminate the "grade-oriented practices",and to reasonably arrange the teaching content of the primary school mathematics review class.The third is to use the mind map,variant exercises,pre-class preparation,and instruction by explaining questions to realize the transformation of the teaching method in mathematics review class.
