A Study On The Application Of Famous Sentences In Classical Chinese In The Teaching Of "Morality And The Rule Of Law" In Junior High School

In the newly compiled textbook “Morality and the Rule of Law” of junior middle school in 2016,a large number of famous sentences in classical Chinese are quoted in the text and columns of the first volume of the seventh and eighth grades.These famous sentences are part of Chinese excellent traditional culture and teachers should use these famous sentences in the process of teaching.It is not only conducive to the inheritance of Chinese traditional culture,but also promote to the development of junior high school students' morality.Furthermore,it is helpful to enhance the effectiveness of teaching this kind of course.During the Two Sessions in 2017,Minister of Education Chen Baosheng pointed out that there are three things to do in the construction of traditional culture on campus.The first thing is to pay attention to the cultivation of teachers.The second thing is to increase the content of traditional culture in the textbook,especially the proportion of classic articles.The last thing is to form an environment in which students are willing to learn,to experience and to exchange traditional culture.However,during the field study,we find that the famous sentences in classical Chinese have not attracted the attention of teachers and students during the actual teaching process.Students did not show a strong awareness and interest in these contents,and teachers have not fully exploited and utilized them as well.On the one hand,teachers lack traditional cultural literacy.On the other hand,the teaching methods are single.In this paper,we discuss how to use the famous sentences in classical Chinese properly during the teaching process of Morality and Rule of Law.In this paper,we use the literature review and questionnaire survey methods to investigate the application of famous sentences in classical Chinese during the teaching of “Morality and the Rule of law” among 7th and8 th grade's students and their political teachers.Using the field study method,we investigate the situation deeply and analyze the survey data.Finally,we point out the existing problems and put forward solutions and principles that need to be followed.
