Under the new situation of curriculum reform in China,strengthening the education of Chinese excellent traditional culture has attracted much attention.As it contains rich moral and legal thoughts,Chinese excellent traditional culture is the precious spiritual wealth of the Chinese nation.In addition,exploring and making good use of the Chinese excellent traditional culture and integrating it into the teaching of morality and rule of law course in junior high school has many good implications.For instance,it helps to enrich and develop the teaching contents,achieve the teaching objectives,improve the teaching effectiveness,promote the quality development of junior high school students as well as inherit Chinese civilization.The main part of this paper consists of four chapters.The first chapter is a theoretical explanation.First of all,this chapter explains the concept of Chinese excellent traditional culture and its basic spirit,the meaning of morality and rule of law course in junior high school and the objectives of this curriculum.Then,this chapter analyzes the relationship between the two,including similar function,common methods and resource compatibility.The second chapter is the importance of this research.Firstly,it helps to achieve teaching objectives and improve teaching effectiveness.Secondly,it helps to enrich and improve the teaching content of morality and rule of law course.Thirdly,it helps to inherit Chinese civilization and promote the creative transformation and innovative development of Chinese excellent traditional culture.The third chapter is the investigation of the current situation and the analysis of the reasons for the dilemma.This chapter uses a questionnaire to investigate the status of the integration of Chinese excellent traditional culture into morality and rule of law course and to analyze its achievements and dilemmas,and then to explore the reasons for the existence of the dilemmas.The reasons for this include four main aspects.First,some teachers lack the motivation and energy to study Chinese excellent traditional culture systematically and deeply.Second,the combination of Chinese excellent traditional culture and morality and rule of law course has not been found.Third,some junior high school students lack the resonance and interest in Chinese excellent traditional culture.Fourth,the external environment for promoting the Chinese excellent traditional culture needs to be improved.The fourth chapter is the path exploration.Based on the investigation of the current situation and the analysis of dilemmas in the third chapter,this chapter proposes possible paths for the integration of Chinese excellent traditional culture into the teaching of morality and rule of law course from four aspects.These four paths are:for teachers,they should improve their own cultural literacy,develop a content system with combination of Chinese excellent traditional culture with junior high school morality and rule of law course,and explore effective methods of their integration;for the society,we should form a favorable atmosphere conducive to integrating Chinese excellent traditional culture into junior high school morality and rule of law course teaching.
