China is a populous country, with 5000 years of civilization and cultural background in this vast land,we have multiplied for generations. However, due to the rapid and intensive population growth, the population of the 1970 s,whose productivity and material base were not abundant at that time, brought about considerable pressure on the level of productivity and material resources at that time.In 1978,the family planning policy was formally written into the Constitution. The state implements family planning to adapt population growth to economic and social development plans."Advocate a couple to have a child".From 1980 to January 1,2016,the one-child policy has been implemented for more than 30 years, making the number of only-child families in China become relatively large.China now has about 200 million only children.Although the implementation of the one-child policy for 30 years has played an important role in alleviating the pressure on China's population resources,as the first generation of only-child parents have quietly entered the aging stage. In the face of multiple pressures of society, environment and resources, how to provide for the aged has gradually become a hot topic of concern and concern. With the increase of the age of the only child and the reasons of work and life, more and more only-child families are facing the serious pension problem. With the increasing number of empty nesters and separated families, the traditional family pension model seems unable to afford the current pension model. The author collects data by sampling questionnaires and interviews with only-child families and some non-only-child families in Jilin Province. The survey mainly focused on the different factors such as the pension model chosen by parents, pension demand and pension burden in one-child families. The survey found out the influence of factors such as parents' and children's marital status, working status and income on the old-age support of urban one-child families.Through the analysis and comparison of the data, the problems faced by the only-child families in the city L community in the process of providing for the aged are found, and the reasons for the problems are found out. Some suggestions are put forward to improve the old-age problem of the only child in L community.I hope to take L community as an example to reflect the pension problem of only-child families in cities and towns. In order to alleviate and improve the current situation of the only-child families in L community of Changyi District, the author puts forward some suggestions and Countermeasures on the related problems.
