“Informal Learning” comes from “non-formal education” proposed by UNESCO in the 1940 s.It mainly refers to a kind of learning that is carried out by the learners themselves and self-regulated outside the formal educational institutions.“Informal learning” has become a hot topic for many scholars in recent years.With the continuous development of information technology and the deepening of the concept of lifelong learning,the way students learn music has undergone tremendous changes.The traditional music teaching mode can no longer meet the learning needs of students.Informal learning outside the classroom has become an important way to learn music that is indispensable in life.Students can accept the edification of music at any time in life,The music class is no longer the only way for students to get in touch with music.In addition to music classes,students can learn more music fields which are not covered in music textbooks.Therefore,students' informal music learning can be used as an extension of the school's formal music education.It is a learning method that should be encouraged and applied.Informal music learning is a music learning that learners independently perform outside the classroom according to their own needs and interests.This kind of learning requires the learner to have certain autonomy and is easily influenced by the external environment.For students in the junior high school,the aesthetics of music is not yet perfect.In informal learning,students have a single choice of different content and form of music,so they need a powerful guidance from teachers.It is very important for music teachers to pay attention to the situation of informal music learning for junior high school students and to promote effective informal learning.Based on the theories of the Life-long learning,Discovery learning,Constructivism and Humanistic learning,this paper analyzes the domestic and foreign literatures related to the informal music learning of junior high school students.This paper selects four junior high schools in Guilin as the research object,mainly using questionnaires and interviews to understand the situation of junior high school students' informal music learning.Starting from the current situation of junior high school students' informal music learning,this paper analyses and summarizes the reasons for its formation.Finally,specific countermeasures and suggestions are put forward for the existing problems.The full text is divided into six parts:The first part is the introduction,which is mainly written from five aspects:the reason of the topic,the purpose and significance of the research,the research summary at home and abroad,the research ideas,the research object and the research method.The second part is the related concepts and theoretical basis of informal music learning.It mainly summarizes and analyses the related concepts of informal music learning and combs its theoretical basis.The third part is to design a questionnaire about the informal music learning of students in four junior middle schools in Guilin,and to analyze the implementation of the questionnaire,the validity and reliability of the questionnaire and the survey data.The fourth part analyzes and summarizes the current situation of music informal learning of students in four junior high schools in Guilin and the reasons for their formation.The fifth part is to put forward corresponding strategies and suggestions for the problems existing in the students' informal music learning in the four junior high schools in Guilin.Mainly from the aspects of students,environment and teachers.I hope to provide some suggestions for the informal music learning of four junior high school students in Guilin.The conclusion part is to summarize and forecast the informal music learning of the four junior high school students in Guilin.
