The21st century is the era of knowledge economy and idea, information and innovation have become important capital. Learning is not only a short-term activity, but with the life of people, integrates people’s lives. The implementation of lifelong education and the Construction of learning society make learning consist in everywhere, and get along with us at all times. In this process, learning formats and learning methods have been changed in different degrees, and informal learning has been taken more and more importance. According to the survey,80%of knowledge which people acquire comes from informal learning, and even in the process the formal learning at school, the learners digest quite a part of knowledge by informal learning,while other20%comes from formal learning. It is thus clear that the informal learning plays an important role in the lifelong education. Currently, the research on informal learning focuses mainly on the adults’ vocational training and continuing education, while the research on the informal learning of undergraduate is still in the initial. In the college phase, the way of learning of undergraduate has changed greatly, and the learning of undergraduate has more innovative, consciousness and flexibility, so the learning in the classroom cannot meet the learning requirements of undergraduate and the undergraduate can fulfill their development through informal learning. Consequently, the research focuses on the informal learning of undergraduates. It is necessary and significant to perform a research on the informal learning current situation of undergraduates and how to promote the informal learning of undergraduates.Based on a survey about the informal learning current situation of undergraduates, this passage reaches the problem of the informal learning of undergraduates. On the base of related research on the literature domestic and overseas, this thesis concludes the factors of informal learning of undergraduates and constructs a model of informal learning of undergraduates. After that, aimed at the problem and the factors of informal learning of undergraduates, this thesis puts forward a number of suggestion on promoting the informal learning of undergraduates The thesis is constituted of five chapters. Chapter one, the introduction, mainly introduces the research background, research situation, research significance and value and approach to the research; Chapter two, theoretical basis, reviews the related concepts and theories; Chapter three surveys and interviews the current situation of informal learning of undergraduates, the date is analyzed by SPSS and summarizes the current situation and problems of informal learning of undergraduates; Chapter four using related research achievement for reference, summarizes the factors of informal learning of undergraduates, constructs a model of informal learning of undergraduates and puts forward a number of suggestion on promoting the informal learning of undergraduates. Chapter five summarizes the work, achievement and limitations of the research and puts forward the prospect of the next stage research.
