Research On Moral Education Function Of College Students’ Volunteer Service

The development of China’s social economy and the improvement of the quality of the whole people have prompted the rapid development of China’s voluntary service.The younger generation has a strong sense of social responsibility and dedication,making them the backbone of volunteer service organizations and playing a huge role in different fields.As a carrier of moral education,college students’ volunteer service has n ot only improved the moral quality and personal ability of college students,but also promoted the self-worth.It has also promoted the development of politics,economy,culture,society and ecology in China.The need to build a socialist harmonious society under the times is the way to realize the great"Chinese dream".Therefore,the r+esearch on the moral education function of college students’ volunteer service has the significance of the times.Although the college students’volunteering service has achieved certain results,there are still problems such as being less effective and less sustainable.Through the citation of relevant data,the factors that restrict the funetion of college students’ volunteer service morality are analyzed as individual factors and environmental factors.First of all,individual factors mainly refer to college students’ lack of cognition of volunteer service,lack of their own ability,and dislocation of self-value oirientation.Secondly,environmental factors include the formal administration of college volunteer service and the lack of characteristic volunteer service brand project construction.Consciousness,lack of social identity and support,insufficient leadership of social mainstream value,and lack of family education to foster volunteerism have constrained the effective functioning of college students’ volunteer service.This paper starts with the volunteer service of college students,and takes Marx’s comprehensive development concept,the ideological theory of western volunteer service,the Chinese traditional culture charity concept and Xi Jinping’s discourse on youth work as the research theoretical basis,and puts its moral education function as the research focus.College students volunteer to serve the individual and social functions of moral education.Through the analysis of the factors that restrict the moral education function of college students’ volunteer service,they will play a better role in promoting the self-improvement and development of volunteers,giving play to the role of the main position of colleges and universities,strengthening the support of all sectors of society,and playing the role of family education.The moral education function of volunteer service activities puts forward countermeasures,in order to provide some effective methods for college students to volunteer for moral education.
