Junior high school students are in a crucial period with physical and mental accelerated development.They encounter with internalstruggles,strong emotional fluctuation,and weaker psychology adjustment ability,which can causemany troubles and even various psychological problems.Inspiration is the source of creativity and the cultivation of creativity is the crucial goal of education.The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between inspiration and life satisfaction for junior high school students,and also to focus on the mediating effect of self-esteem and sense of pride.By analyzing the developmental level,the characteristics and the relationship among junior high school students' inspiration,sense of pride,self-esteem and life satisfaction,this study aims at providing the basis for inspiring students,improving students' creativity,cultivating students' sense of pride and self-esteem,and further improving their life satisfaction.The research method is stratified sampling.And 500 junior high school students are investigated by inspiration scales,pride scales,self-esteem scales and subjective well-being scales.466 valid questionnaires are collected.After deeply analyzing the students' inspiration,sense of pride,self-esteem and life satisfaction,the research results show that:(1)Junior high school students have more and stronger inspiration experiences The inspiration intensity of boys and urban students is greater than that of girls and rural students respectively.With the rise of grade,the inspiration intensity presents an inverted U shape.(2)Junior high school students' sense of pride is at the middle level;second grade students' level of pride is higher than that of the first ones;the level of pride of the only child is higher than that of the non-only child.(3)The developmental level of self-esteem of junior high school students is higher;the level of self-esteem in the second grade is the highest;there is a downward trend for the third grade.(4)The life satisfaction of junior high school students is at the level upper,among which family satisfaction is the highest,and academic satisfaction is the lowest.The score of school satisfaction for girls is higher than that of the boys.With the rise of grade,the inspiration intensity presents an inverted U shape.The school and academic satisfaction of urban students is much greater than that of rural students;the free satisfaction of the only child is dramatically higher than that of the non-only child.(5)Sense of pride and self-esteem play a mediating effect on the relationship between inspiration and life satisfaction.(6)For the sub-dimension of life satisfaction,pride and self-esteem play a chain-mediated role in the relationship between free satisfaction and environment satisfaction,the sub-dimension of pride and self-esteem.The role of self-esteem and pride in the relationship between inspiration and other sub-dimensions of life satisfaction is similar to overall life satisfaction.
